Some relatively new Magna titles have been slashed by 50% (from Php 895) in Astro stores. I don't know how long this will last. Some of the significant titles I saw are:

World Trade Center
Charlotte's Web
Jaws (the 30th Anniversary Edition in Digipak, down to Php 650)
The Da Vinci Code (2-Disc, Slipcased)
Stranger Than Fiction
Perfect Stranger
Norbit
and several other B-movie Sony releases

I was also told that Children of Men is included, but Astro SM Makati didn't have stocks.

Charlotte's Web was slashed down to 299 pesos during the last Podium sale.
Some of the 50% discount titles were also down to 299 like Zoom, You Me Dupree. . .
They could further lower the price of the older titles to 199pesos, so watch out for further reductions.
I was also told that Children of Men is included, but Astro SM Makati didn't have stocks.

I bought Children of Men along with Flushed Away last weekend at Rockwell. The stocks of Children of Men are quite low so i didn't wait anymore since it was always hard to find. I only saw two copies of COM last weekend.

At Megamall, the relatively new releases Paprika & Hot Fuzz are also on 50% off. Hot Fuzz is based on P695 regular price while Paprika on P895 regular price (I don't know if in other shops this will already be based also on P695).

1) Hannibal 2 disc P 199 yeah... a real steal for a 2 disc edition
2) The Craft SE 199 hard to find this SE copy. the more common is the barebones rel.
3) Ultaviolet (Theatrical Cut) 199 this is a blind buy... hope the action, if not the story, rocks!

Up to November 4 daw yung sale naman so I'll just go back for some more titles.

Hi Techdude, I visited Astro The Block last Sunday but the Spiderman imported 2 discs is at P895. So you bought it at P650 with and additional 50% discount? That's a steal! May I know where you bought it so I can purchase another copy from there? I have to buy a gift for a friend, a big Spidey fan.

This is the first Spiderman not Spiderman 3 which is still at P895 (mga late next year pa mag sale). Tama ba techdude?

Yes. This is the first Spiderman. Just updating my old 1-disc local dvd to 2-discs, can't resist the price.
