Thanks to everyone who came. Enjoy nga. First time we did a speaker blind test. Galing ng ginawang pantago ni Anthony. Nasa bahay pa rin so we can use it again.

Ok naman, I have my own personal conclusions about the clone speakers. Consult muna ako kay Anthony how to do a few tweaks.

My 3 year A-audio speakers in both my HT and audio set ups are still at performance level. Kakainis lang may bagong models.....hmmm....upgrade ko kaya.....

aba aba brader. panay hakot ah. kunin mo narin yung fs para timbre match. hindi ka magsisisi. its that good brader. pagiipunan ko din ang mga yan at napagastos lang kasi sa diy audio.

Hahaha tatry ko lang kasi naka dual center ako ngayon e baka pag yun ang ipinalit mas ok ganda nga e ang laki... Parang yung paradigm na nakita ko sa park square hehehe

"Dual center" as in 2 speaker na magkatabi? If so, that's not a good idea. Dapat 1 speaker lang.

mga sirs, thanks sa support sa eb at sa mga pumunta. thank you sir mark sa place at time, nakatulong ng malaki sa pag promote ng mga speaker ko. pasensya na sa di ko masyadong pag reply, medyo buzy 4-5 hrs lang lagi ang tulog ko every day. hehe.

IMHO

The results of the blind listening test showed that different speakers cater to different types of music, in the JBL vs Aaudio, the listeners preferred the JBL, the music being played in that test was very dynamic highlighting the strengths of the JBL. With the B&W VS Audio, the listeners preferred the A Audio, the music being played was by Diana Krall pretty much all vocals here, Same thing with the Chris Botti track, preferred loudspeaker was the A Audio. In the AE vs A audio, the listeners choose the AE for its warm and bit enhanced lower bass making for a fuller sound of the orchestra.

Given the short time we listened to the unit, I found the A Audio on the neutral side of things not highlighing any of the frequency extremes, I reckon this loudspeaker partnered with a good sub will be a very good loudspeaker for 2 Channel listening.

There were some branded speakers that I prefered over the A-Audio during the blind test, but:

- the A-Audio was newly made, the others were already fully broken in; I am certain it (A-Audio) will only get better over time (I would say, 100 hours break-in)
- the A-Audio had better clarity and resolution, good for stereo application. Often, one has to choose between wide frequency response capability (ability to plumb depths of lows and reach maximum highs) or clarity/transparency. The branded speakers that were preferred over the A-Audio were chosen because of their wider frequency. If one wanted both, one has to pay a huge sum for the high end speakers, of which Proac is one.

having heard the 3 feet center during the eb, it sounds very natural and neutral. it easily filled the ht room of sir mark, which is saying a lot since sir mark's ht room is 50 sq meter and 12-15 feet high.

the bookshelves has been talk about a lot already, if you go a few pages back to the eb pictures, you will see and read that the bookshelves performed respectably against branded bookshelves like b&w, jbl, ae and paradigm.

Like what brader iiinas has stated above - the A-Audio speakers of DIY Master Anthony has tonal qualities that can hold its own compared to high-end speakers that are 4-5x its price!

Some say that it is also at par with speakers that are 10x its price

Price of A-Audio speakers will never be the question because it is definitely cheaper than the cheapest branded popular speaker around.
However, the only question that can arise is one's understanding of what "natural" or neutral speakers sound like.
Typical branded speakers have "coloration" in them that makes it their sonic signatures, while natural/neutral speakers would be the absence or less coloration in them.

To properly find out what natural/neutral speakers sound like - feel free to audition hi-end speakers & compare them to A-Audio Creations - these speakers may sound close to those hi-end ones, but you'll definitely be pleased to find out just how big the difference in prices would be

He has everything - 7.1 difference lang over 5.1 is the addition of 1 more pair of the Proac Response 1SC or tablette to your set-up and the longer center speakers for you to have a tonally matched and fully compatible speaker system. Use the floorstanding clone as your main fronts. But you better hurry, Anthony says he only has few remaining driver units available, paunahan na!
