The Amazing Race 12
« on: Oct 23, 2007 at 12:44 PM »
Due to the miserable failure of Hugh Jackman's TV series "Viva Laughlin," (which critics universally agreed was worse than "Cop Rock"), CBS had an opening in its schedule, so The Amazing Race 12 premieres on November 4th, 8PM in the States.

Here's looking forward to Studio 23 promo plugs soon...

Is it 12 or 14? ;D

I read in PEX (from a Studio 23 source) that the next TAR was tentatively set for Feb. 2008, so this is really good news for TARfans. Viva Laughlin!

12!  ;D Sorry, thanks for that. Corrected the title already.

This makes it bad for AXN and TAR Asia 2. I think they scheduled TAR Asia 2 so that it would have minimal overlap with TAR 12, but now it looks like a full-season overlap. Surely it'll affect ratings. I know I'm not willing to watch both if Tar Asia is still as boring as its first season was. It was okay to watch IF there was no "REAL" Amazing Race also on-air.  ;D

Didn't care much for TAR Asia as well. I didn't really give it a chance though, as I only lasted through half of the first episode. I found this version of TAR very slow. The editors should have taken a cue from the "Real" Amazing Race and given the show a little more punch. It didn't help that I couldn't find anybody to root for or actively hate among the contestants.

Believe me, that half of the first episode you saw was already the most exciting thing about the entire season.  ;D

Hehe, this should be The Amazing Names, if they had to differentiate the men from the women.

This early, the Goths are sticking out like Adam / Rebecca (the Punks) did. Let’s see they if end up like bickering nasty little babies too. Not sure if they’re  just Goths or “dating” Goths.

Good to see a bro/sis team again (another Blake and Paige). I don’t think there’s ever been a grandpa/grandson team so that’ll be interesting to watch.

And what about this?

It's not even listed on the TV schedule at Studio 23's website. Stupid webmaster.

On AXN, it airs Mondays at 8PM, with a replay at midnight.

Was able to catch the last half of this last night--a lot of likeable teams in this batch, including the father/daughter Hsus, the lesbian ministers, the granpa/grandson, and the african-american brother and sister. My favorites are the goths though.  8)

Why are the couples here always such a$$es? Particularly Nathan and Jennifer, who I'd love to see strangle each other real soon--I was hoping their donkey would kick them both and break some of their bones in the process.  ;D

I was laughing so hard when that team went right by Phil and you can see Phil in the shot looking at them curiously. Great job by the camera guy to capture that.

And a little bit as well when "prissy goth" went in the mud, hehe.

i thought so too, but actually that annoying biatch is what makes this current series interesting. the other teams are too goody goody for my taste. there has to be an annoying team to make things interesting, remember the biatch midget?

What a sucky pair of winners.  >:(

Their winning makes me feel like I wasted my time this entire season. I should've watched TAR Asia 2 and recorded this, instead.

Now for a 9-Episode TAR-A marathon!  ;D

Up to 35 minutes into the show, I was so sure that finally, a team that I was gunning for from the start was going to win... and then it all came crashing down. :(
