SRP is Php 98,000 but with discount if cash or straight charge. Cheaper sa Amazon @ $1,699 but with its weight baka mahal din shipping and wala pa warranty

good day, ask ko lang,Kailangan ba uhd disc na dolby atmos para maexperience ang overhead sounds? Got the sony z9f dolby atmos soundbar. Satisfied naman ako sa sound quality niya, curious lang sa atmos niya hindi ko pa kasi naririnig. Thanks mga sir

Hindi yata totoo yung ma-uupmix niya into atmos like yung mga non atmos files hehe.

Hindi ko pa natry sa uhd disc, bluray disc na dolby atmos. Wala pa kasi ako uhd/4k player. Thanks mga sir

Thank you sir. Will try those. Though meron na din ako nadownload pero wala ako narinig na overhead sounds.

Sir ask ko na din, sa ps4 minsan, actually thrice na nangyari. Merong unusual sound na lumalabas sa soundbar, long sound na matining. Mawawala lang siya pag pinatay ps4, or soundbar. Bakit kaya ganun? Thanks

Tried all the dolby atmos trailers again, but too bad no overhead effects talaga hehe. I don’t know why hehe. Baka dahil sa ceiling, or dahil sa tv ko nilagay yung usb, walang dotby atmos yung tv, or baka talagang palpak dolby atmos ng z9f. Haha

You'd have to lower your expectations if you don't really have a physical Atmos speaker.

Anyway, what type of ceiling do you have? Can you take pictures and post it here or PM to me?

Afaik, Your tv needs to be able to decode dolby atmos if you're playing the dolby atmos trailers through the USB. if it doesn't then it's just downsampled to DolbyTrueHD or something like that.

WHAT ABOUT DOLBY ATMOS?
Dolby Atmos is not a codec! Dolby Atmos is an immersive audio format that can be delivered via multiple audio codecs including Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby TrueHD (but NOT Dolby Digital). Blu-ray Discs deliver Dolby Atmos using Dolby TrueHD (with Dolby Digital Plus as an available alternative), and broadcast and streaming services deliver Dolby Atmos using Dolby Digital Plus. In order to maintain compatibility with millions of devices in consumer homes, Dolby Atmos in these codecs is implemented as a backwards-compatible extension. Dolby Atmos data is hidden within the bitstream and can be decoded by a Dolby Atmos-compatible A/V Receiver, soundbar or television. Non-Dolby Atmos capable devices will decode a 5.1-ch or 7.1-ch version from the Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD bitstreams. There is new HDMI signaling to indicate that Dolby Atmos is supported by a sink device (more on that in the next article).

All of these formats are supported today on the "forward" HDMI connection between a source device and a sink device.

does your soundbar have an indicator if it is receiving ATMOS signalling? normally it would have ... if it's not indicated that it's Dolby ATMOS, your source maybe the culprit ... I tried the LG SJ9 sound bar, that is a soundbar with sub-woofer and no rear speakers - aside from the fronts and center, everything is simulated ... on the SJ9, you can clearly hear sounds coming from overhead ... they were using a media player capable of Dolby ATMOS as a source

Yes sir yung source ang culprit kaya wala ako narinig na overhead effects.
Yung display niya sa soundbar, dts4 48khz s- force front surround, and dts4 48khz neural x vertical surround engine.

Lg sj9 meron siya upfiring speakers sir diba? Kaya siguro noticeable ang overhead effects niya.

Z9f kasi sir virtual lang daw, virtually lang. Pero maganda naman reviews niya sa atmos capabilities niya.

Guys medyo pa clarify po, if i want to decode a dolby atmos sound, kailangan po ba pati ung tv ko din nakaka decode ng dolby atmos or kahit regular 4k tv lang as long as my soundbar is capable of dolby atmos...?

Just the soundbar sir... And dapat the soundbar can passthrough 4K HDR content kasi kung hindi, baka downscaled to 1080p yung video na ilabas ng soundbar going to your TV.

Does anyone here own a SJ9 or a SK10Y? What are your impressions?

Was very interested when I heard it last week and read some review. Problem when I auditioned, they had no 5.1 files to demo.

Planning to sell my old soundbar to fund an upgrade - SK10Y if okay.

Almost the same price as the LG SJ9 but these 2 are better
