What is exactly their difference?

I know kasi pag sa mga wired na set up as in physically mas marami speakers ang dolby atmos than 5.1...

@Dgame12345
thank you sa post regarding samsung n650. Bite the bullet and bought it.  I was eying JBL bar 5.1, auditioned it and the bass was overwhelming to me plus the fact that the room is small 5x6 meters and the sub was humongous.  the samsung was the right fit with the free surround, I just cant seems to find the right setting on movies, bass is a bit underwhelming.  But on music just the right punch.

do your own due diligence if there's indeed a YAS 208 already.

Got Polk's Magnify Max SR - honestly I felt the reviews are all hype.
My fault for not auditioning it.
The surrounds do not have batteries so you need to plug it to a power source.
My impression of wireless surrounds was you can charge it and use it with no wires like all wireless speakers.
Disappointed.

are you also disappointed with the sound quality or just the part on having to plug the surround speakers to a power source? how do you find the sound quality on movies and on music? i do not own a set but i auditioned it on the Polk Audio store in MOA - i find the sound quality on movies quite impressive, but I did not like the sound quality when playing music ... i commented here that the audio seems to thin when playing music and there was a feedback that the setup needs to be adjusted for music to make it better - maybe you also need to do the same to improve the sound quality

Sir ask ko lang, what was your reference system in comparison with Polk Magmifi SR? I mean were you trying to compare it with your HT system?

Actually yes and no.
Was thinking of getting the Polk's Magnify for a long time and have abandoned the idea until I heard a JBL soundbar and sub in one of the shop I went to. This made me pursue the idea again and get the Polk Magnify since I assume it was better than the JBL soundbar I heard.

Medyo manipis tumunog, one reason might be the area where I placed it. I would say the area is a little big for a soundbar.
Also you need to change the base and voice settings every time you use it for music or movies to get the most of it as the difference is quite big if you don't adjust the settings.

Gets ko na sir. You mean compared to the JBL soundbar that you auditioned, the JBL sounded better.

Better ang max kasi may adjustment betwwen music and movies, imagine kung wala like any other sound bar.  Hindi sya hype, maganda talaga sya tumunog for the size.

Agree na yun wireless is not really wireless since you have to plug it in sa electrical outlet.

I have used both bose soundbar 155t and magnify max 43t and i am leaning towards the  sound of the max pa din. I want it detailed (bright) sounding for movies.

Well we also have to consider the space or area that sir newbie pa din mentioned. Sometimes may mga demo room that are acoustically treated or like he said, medjo small ang space. In a big room, where sir newbie pa din positioned the max SR, there are minimal boundaries making it sound "manipis". There is science but there is also preference, perception and SQ reference point.

Sometimes the "mataba" tumunog can be rolled off highs etc etc.

The "music" setting is sometimes "manipis" tumunog. Plus increase the "voice" volume.

Ako i sometimes palit ako ng palit between the two because there are also certain movies that are "bright" sounding na din. Medjo malikot ako sa remote when it comes to my Max SR because the buttons are very accessible. The "ease" of tweaking to your preference.

Also for soundbars no need for treatment na . Those drivers are so small to cause any issues unless the room is so small.

Just want to add that Soundbars by design are actually dependent on room reflection for it to create the pseudo surround effect. Some soundbars have drivers that are oriented to point to the sides and even upwards.

For me it’s total opposite that I experienced.  I have a Soundbar that was once located in a small but treated room (absorbers, carpet, diffusers and extra care to seal the room) and boy can it pressurise that room fairly easily. Bass response is immediate and tight.  I then relocated that same Soundbar to an open living space and what I got was a degradation in bass response. I ran True Play equalisation to tailor fit the Soundbar to the new room. It improved a lot yes but not as good when it was located inside the treated media room.

I think all Soundbars for that matter should have a room size recommendation rating and a caveat that covers room to room dependency in its perceived SPL output.

Need to read back and check if I said that the Max SR are all hype.
What I said was the review and not the item.

Sound preference really plays a lot and how you perceive it plus room size and treated vs non-treated rooms siguro.
This is my 1st soundbar and I would say mataas lang siguro expectations ko.

Maybe age is coming into play as well.
Tweaking the settings can be good for others and annoying for some.
Pag tumatanda ka gusto mo automatic na lahat, kung pwede lang one button to set it all hehe.
