Yes, saw the two titles at SM Makati: P175 for Predator 2 disc and P1,500 for Prison Break S1 & S2. Buti na lang hindi ko binili yun Prison Break. I might get this at VMall instead. Gracias!

I rushed to Astro SM Makati with the intent to buy these new Magna releases at 50% off their regular prices. How disappointed I was to find these titles at regular prices. The Warner sale was also disappointing. Not much stocks. I'm just going to get them at Astro Greenhills tomorrow.

Anyway, I didn't go empty-handed. I got the following:

Di masyadong maraming tao dun, and I was there at around 6PM kanina.

There were DVDs sold just outside the Astro store, but these had to be paid first before you are allowed inside the store

--- don't know why they implemented this kind of procedure

?

It's always been that way (especially when Astro Glorietta was still open). I think the DVD's outside are direct from Viva. Astro SM Makati might just be a consignee. I'm not sure though why this is not implemented in Astro Podium.

I was convincing the sales ladies to include the Magnas that got released yesterday to the 50%-off sale like the other titles that were released just this week, but they wouldn't budge. These are The Kingdom, Atonement and Elizabeth - The Golden Age, still priced at Php 695 each. Warner didn't have much stocks so their sale still sucks for me. Viva had plenty, but not as much as in the last Podium sale.

I also passed by Astro SM Makati, and they lowered the prices of the new Magna releases to match the sale price of the Vira Mall sale. Interestingly, Astro Vira Mall itself didn't include the new Magnas in the sale. They can only be bought at discounted prices in the sale outside the Astro store.

Stardust, by the way, isn't discounted in both sales. There were no stocks in Vira Mall, but they said stocks will be coming this afternoon, but they won't be discounted.

The Passion of the Christ released locally is just single disc, but it has a DTS track, unlike the Definitive Edition.

And no, there's no midnight madness sale in Vira Mall, so they must be open only until 9 PM.

I also have the Definitive Edition, although I haven't opened it yet. There's no DTS track indicated in the specs grid at the back cover. Sometimes Amazon isn't reliable when reporting DVD specs.

I think sir ito yung 1-disc na nakita ko rin kanina(Halos magkapareho kasi sila ng print and case). Nagkamali lang siguro si sir rico_g. Sinagot ko rin yung tanong ko.
