Hello guys... just want to share baka makatulong to others who have a mac mini at home...
since i download high definition rips from bluray and hd dvd (mkv format) for the ps3, i just thought of using my mac mini na nasa storage room lang.
viola, nagka HTmac tuloy ako. What i use is the following:
connectivity:
DVI to HDMI adaptor going to an upscaling receiver for video
toslink to optical for the digital output of sound
software used is OSX XBMC (ported Xbox 360 Media Central) running on Mac OS X Leopard
set auto start at login
no keyboard and mouse needed, just the apple remote
Software set at 1920 x 1080 progressive for video... 16x9 normal
Plays mkv, vob, divx, xvid, mpeg1-4, h246, video_ts.. lahat ata kayang i play ng XBMC
so now, since punong puno na ang ps3 hard drive ko... my next arsenal on playing high definition content is the mac mini.

btw.. with this, i don't have to convert the mkv files to vob (which sometimes takes about an hour pag nakaka encounter ako ng mkv na kailangang i demux)
