wala sir build-in lang gigabyte 780g... may build in na hdmi and optical-out ako na sia pang htpc... sagarin mo na lang mem mo aus..

@ninjababez mas ok siguro kung ung htpc casing po mismo ang pictures... especially ung icute qs02 ang nandun para mas magkaroon po me idea... full atx kasi ung case na un and madali itago sa likod ung wires unlike ung htpc case sobra hirap i mange ang cable baka may master dian na nakamanage itago post naman na pix.. thnx.

my amd powered htpc runs cool so i didnt bother to do cable management .. :D
if you live near makati, i can do it for free  ;)
or you can have a pro do it for you (iirc tantric charges 500 pesos for cable management jobs)

my location is at pembo/rizal makati. (which should be taguig city since its in between market2x mall and bicutan  :-\ :-\ )

guys i need po your inputs. my officemate is planning to sell his CPU, eto setup nya more or less:

q6600 intel quadcore 2.4ghs for every core
geforce 9600gt 1ghz
2 gb ddr2
gigabyte motherboard
320 sata drive

papasa naba as HTPC? Balak ko kasi kumuha ng E-great media player pero kung pwede na yan, hindi nalang siguro. I'll be using my 32 inch LCD TV as my monitor and 2.1 Bose Speakers.

tatawaran ko sya ng 15k eh. pwede na ba? presyong kaibigan sympre saka 2nd hand na. 29k daw assemble nya..

gigabyte motherboard..mahal naba sa 15k yan? all in napo kasi yan pati peripherals like keyboard and mouse..kung kukunin ko ung AOC 22 inch LCD nya kukunin ko ng 20k..nung august nya nabili daw..

If you'll buy this kind of setup at this time, this is very reasonable. Imagine, a 1G 9600GT Video card, that presumably indicates that he has a branded power supply,plus the fact that it's a quadcore.If you do the math, it's as if you got a free 2G RAM and MoBo.

And yes, it's not only decent for a HTPC, but has room for lots of improvement.

My usual question.  Meron nang OS diba?   ;D   Licensed? 

That kind of set-up should be able to perform all the functions of the E-Great with ease and you'd have a pretty powerful PC as well. 

Kung di ko lang naayos (finally) yung codec ng Pentim-D sa Pasig, I would be very interested to line up after you and Alfie.   ;D  Ibibigay kaya talaga ng 15K?

Clondalkin, mukhang may OS na iyan' kasi ginamit na eh'....at kung di' man' licensed OK parin ako sa 15K.....Please lang....kung di' kayo mag-kasundo, nandirito kami  ;) ;D

Oo nga no. Kahit bumili ng licensed OS worth 5K, reasonable pa rin yung total price for a quad core system.   :)

BTW Bros, I can vouch for the effectiveness of CoreAVC Ver. 1.8.5 for Pentium-D systems.   My Pentium-D desktop is finally 1080p capable after so many failed trials using various codecs and older versions of CoreAVC.   :)

KMP.  Kayang kaya na all 1080ps lalo na yung DXVA compliant.  Dati pinipilit ko pa sa MPC because mas magaang kesa sa KMP.  Now oks na lahat.  Wife prefers KMP kase maganda agad ang default sound quality, whilst sa MPC, you need to configure AC3Filter properly pa.

Try mo CoreAVC 1.8.5.  Medyo parang mas maganda nga lang ang PQ kung FFDshow...but slight lang.

no issue if you turn on the ffdshow ?  :D
i have to agree .. with the kmplayer and mpc comparison  :)
kmplayer is my main player and mpc for all around player  :D

Pentium D with FFDshow and MPC - dehins kaya ALWAYS ang 1080p...minsan tsamba, kadalasan sinisinok.. pero maganda ang PQ.

Pentium D with KMP and Internal Codecs - Hopeless

Pentium D with KMP and CoreAVC 1..8.5 - Solved!

May OS na pero im not sure kung licensed eh, tatanong ko pa mamaya pagpasok namin.. Ano pa ba mga dapat kong itanong master? I apologize ha, medyo newbie pako pagdating dito.. Nasabi ko na sa kanya na kukunin ko ng 15k without the 22 inch LCD and 20k pag may LCD.. Mukhang kakagatin kasi nabola ko ata.. Since gusto na nya ibenta para di nadaw sya matempt maglaro ng games at masimulan na nya magaral for his cisco certification kaya bibili nalang daw sya ng laptop.. Nahiya nga ako eh kasi masyado ko ata binarat.. Hehehe..  Hihingiin ko pa pati ung game pad nya.. Hehehe.. Kasama LCD gumastos sya ng 42k nung inassemble nya..

Sir help nyo po ako magset-up pag nakuha ko na po ha..  Mukhang papalitan ko din casing na pang HTPC kasi ung typical slim casing lang sya eh..
