Just got word from Jimmy Lim that Astro Megamall will be hosting the Viva Blowout Sale from May 15 to May 18. All Fox, Buena Vista, Disney, and local Viva titles are included.

No idea but knowing Viva, prices will probably start at Php99.

Btw, I'm very disappointed with Viva dvd's I bought in the last Astro Mega sale. I bought 2 Spongebob dvd's for P200 (buy 1 take 1 promo) and SQ was so disappointing. Tunug na tunog lata buti na lang my 5-yr old kid doesn't care about this kind of thing.

I hope they'll have something good to offer us this coming Viva Blowout Sale.

To repeat for everyone so you don't get disappointed in your Viva purchases at this sale:

If it's from Viva and it's NOT a Fox/Disney/MGM title, then purchase it at your own risk, it will probably be of substandard quality.

Hope the Fox/Disney titles will be priced at php175 or lower.

Viva had disappointing prices in the last Astro sale in Mega.

Fox/Disney titles distributed by VIVA have excellent quality.

It's the locally pressed discs that have substandard quality.

Festival Mall Triple Weekend Sale both for Astro and Odyssey. Be sure to visit both, some items have different pricing.

ALL brands are on sale. Viva's sale is slightly higher that their previous caravan sale (mas mura yung dati).
Warner DVDs seem like same prices pa rin, because they were already on sale at P275, P199

Prices slashed down:

P750 -> P550

P299 -> P199 or P175
P199 -> P175
P175 -> P150

Stardust is a Magna release right...so hindi kasama sa Viva sale yan.

im not sure sir. hindi ko nakita.
pero even yung mga new titles (released a few months ago) have been discounted.
yung P750 -> P550. yung Atonement kse is priced at P299 (i think).
they'll probably give you discount (talk to the Magna saleslady, minsan nakukuha sa ganun) PR ba...

Magna is part of the sale here in Astro Festival, pati ang Warner.
yung Viva sale nga lang not as cheap as their last sale

btw, im talking here about the Astro Festival Mall sale not the megamall sale.

Some of the Disney's were Buy 1 Take 1 @ Php199 as well. I noticed the Pooh sequels, Zero to Hero: Hercules, and Bratz. Kicked myself for buying Pooh's Grand Adventure at Php199 in the last Podium sale.

Ended up buying a lot of Buy 1 Take 1 Pingu which is superbly oddball.

I'm still looking for 28 Weeks Later at Php199 which has been MIA in all of the sales I've visited.

there's a lot of boxsets priced lower. yung TV series mostly are at 50% Off
Planet Earth is priced at P750
Indiana Jones from its P999 price, slashed further to P750
NBA Dynasty Series are priced at P899

its gonna be until Sunday and 2 more weekends after as its a triple weekend sale for Festival Mall
