sky seems to have some problems today. nba premium hd is just a blank screen for me all day.

i'm not an existing sky subscriber yet pero plan ko kumuha nong NBA Premium TV nila in HD since malapit na playoffs, how much po ang pinaka-muirang subscription kung NBA Premium lang ang HD and the rest STV na including the price of the hd box? eto kasi yong balak ko plan 280 + NBA premium 350 = 630 php (eto ba monthly ko?) ... not sure how much price ng hd box ... and if may extra tv how much add?

then nakita ko sa website nila if i subscribe before april 30 may free espn hd for 1 year ... tama ba?

It looks like Sky's changing the encryption used on their network: when we had an additional outlet installed in our house last week, I noticed the digibox provided doesn't use a smart card anymore and now uses Verimatrix encryption instead of the Irdeto system used in the earlier digiboxes. Even the guy who installed the outlet and box said that all new digiboxes are now cardless.

I knew there was something wrong with Sky. Last thursday, all of their channels were opened again.
Do you have a picture of the new Digibox?

The new SD digibox (not sure about the HD one as we only use SD for both outlets) looks like this:

It's pretty much the same as the earlier Digiboxes other than the simplified design with no clock/channel number display, and also the S-video output was removed (both I guess for cost-cutting). From what I've read about Verimatrix, their encryption system is software/server based meaning the decryption keys are stored on Sky's end (unlike the previous Irdeto system where the keys were stored on the inserted smartcard) and apparently downloaded into the box each time it's turned on because there's a short "loading" screen when you turn the new digibox on.

Is it me, my tv or SkyCable?

Have you guys noticed any subtle or slight differences with the picture quality of Skycable's SD channels?

Take a look on Star Movies, Discovery or BTV. Artifacts are quite noticeable now than before.

Again, I'm not sure if its me, my TV or SkyCable.

P1,500. But it is given FREE if you get the NBA Premium HD and maybe other HD packages but lock in for 6 months.

Haist bad3p naman tong skycable P1500 yung Pacquiao VS Mosley na fight. Sa HD lang daw sya available. Tinanong ko kung meron sa Standard definition...ayun wala daw. Buti pa sa Cignal meron P500 lang.

sky cable hd subscriber here, tinanong ko yung about sa naka subscribe na sa nba premium, applicable siya kung mag aavail ng 6 months ng nba premium, instead of paying 1500 for the ppv, 2100 siya in total, but with the nba premuim na kasama..

sa min 550 lang sa bahay e (Cignal) tapos yung sa ibabang TV naman namin na nakakabit sa Destiny Cable ang Destiny PPV e 600 lang,

i don't what's up with NBA premium this playoffs. they don't show direct uncut feeds of games anymore. they now keep showing that darn talking ball commercial during timeouts and worse they don't quickly cut back to the game!

viewing experience isn't how it was before which was like you're actually in the arena watching timeouts and intermission festivities.

I agree. Mas okay yung dati na pwede mo mapakinggan yung pinaguusapan ng mga commentators o kaya see usa commercials. Guess we have to inform Solar about this since they're the ones in charge of NBA Premium TV.

Sir on top po ito nang inyong current plan. And then, you have the option to pay for the HD box outright or 399 ata per month for 12 months, if I'm not mistaken ha. ang maganda lang dito, yung SD signal, upscaled na din to 1080i, kse yung ito yung signal na lumalabas sa info button nang TV ko eh, of course malayo ang upscaled SD sa native HD signals
