Ako, halos hd channels surfing lang talaga, hindi na ako napupunta sa sd channels unless sa Balls SD kapag may ufc.
Malinaw din naman ang SD, iba lang talaga manood sa HD channels, mas malinaw, may brilyo :-)

@Dgame12345 - I have a 46" Full-HD/1080p TV, yung viewing distance ko is about 3.3-Meters, if you will search the internet merong recommended viewing distance depende sa TV size. pero depende pa rin naman sa iyo yun kung san ka comfortable at masasanay ka rin naman. If you have a Full-HD/1080p capable TV the better kasi mas maganda ang picture rendition, mas kita ang details.

@Kier - tama ka Sir, 1080i lang yung signal ng SkyCable HD kasi yun ang default configuration. pero yung DigiBox ko it can be setup to 1080p pero wala naman akong nakitang pagkakaiba kaya hinayaan ko nalang sa 1080p (hindi ko na ibinalik sa 1080i)
Kung hindi mo naman makita ang pagkakaiba ng 1080 at 720 ay OK lang, pero iba kasi ang viewing experience ko ehh.

@bartender - tama ka Bro! iba talaga ang HD content lalu na kung capable yung display mo

@Kier - yung program ng Balls-SD at Balls-HD magkaiba kaya napapadpad rin ako sa SD, pero ngayong UAAP sa Balls-HD no-interruption kahit timeout

I just want to share my experience: (yours might be different anyways)
I also have a 32" TV for the bedrooms: one is Full-HD/1080 at yung isa HD-Ready/720 pero mas maganda ang viewing experience ko duon sa Full-HD/1080p TV with the same viewing distance watching HD content, kung SD content naman halos pareho lang.

I have a 51" 720p plasma ang a 50" 1080p LED, mas maganda TV viewing experience ko sa 51", cguro dahil magkaiba sila ng panel technology. Napansin ko lang din na parang mas inferior yung bagong box na issue nila ngayon, yung unang box ko, mas malaki pero may 1080p na din sa settings kapag yun ang ginagamit ko sa FHD ko na tv, nag-improve PQ, observation ko kaya mas gusto ko viewing experience sa 51" dahil mas maganda yung digibox na gamit ko dun.

Yung provided ba na HDMI cable ang gamit nyo or nag upgrade kayo sa better quality cable? Sa mga nag palit ng HDMI cable, malaki ba improvement?

^Bro yung free HDMI cable lang ang gamit ko kasi di ako believer ng high-end digital cables. Unlike analog na pwedeng mag vary yung signal based sa conductivity ng wire, pag digital kasi 0 or 1 lang ang signal. Pag nag send ng 01011010 si digibox, dapat yan din mismo ang mareceive ng TV. So for me basta ok ang communication ng digibox at TV, wala nang igaganda ito. On the other hand, pag masyadong mahaba or may problem ang HDMI cable, pwede ma drop yung ibang digital signal and magiging cause ito ng dropped frames o kaya total loss of communication between digibox and TV. In short, pag digital, all or nothing ang signal so either 100% quality or 0% or disconnected. This is my belief until proven wrong.

Masyado kasi ako naliliwanagan at masakit sa mata pag nanonood...
Ala ba kayo mga suggestion ng picture settings?
Mostly use watching movies and nba premium hehe

You are right.

I have both -- an expensive HDMI cable and the free HDMI cable. NO DIFFERENCE. So get the cheapest or the free one.

1) Select from the "PMODE" (Picture Mode) settings available
- Dynamic, Standard, Movie etc
2) Adjust the "Backlight" and the ff: contrast, brightness, sharpness etc
NOTE: pwedeng iba-iba ang settings for every Picture-Mode, just choose what you want depende sa quality ng source, or time of day. Bawat "source"/input (HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, AV1, AV2, Component1, Component2, etc) pwede mong i-setup individually/differently

walang tama o mali na settings kasi depende po iyan sa user/viewer preference

Afaik, temporary lang yan. That said, naka-experience ako ng free preview ng Fox Sports 1 HD kanina for Formula 1 qualifying. It was fun while it lasted =)

Temporary lang talaga pag nag open ng channels, kapag official promo, it lasted atleast 2 weeks, kapag error sa kanila, minsan wala pang 1 day.

Anyways, napansin nyo ba na may pending sila na channel slots? If you check ung Digibox nyo umaabot sya ng Channel 261.....which means Sky may be testing some channel slots for future use.

In any case, nag-announce ang Sony Pictures Entertainment na Animax Asia HD will launch operations this coming December 17th.

First operator daw might be Singtel TV of Singapore. That said, feel ko since Sky Cable ang first and only local provider ng AXN HD, I hope na mag-launch sila ng Animax HD soonafter. =)

As someone who watches anime on TV, I would love to see Animax HD =)

I paid Php1299 on my 1st additional HD box upon installation (since I'm a new subscriber, they charged me 1299)
After a week, I requested for additional HD boxes and they billed me only Php799 each (799 nalang daw dahil current subscriber na ako.

I applied for the addl. box in their hotline and told me its P399, installed on 11/20 and the installer is charging me P799, I called again their hotline to verify and they confirm/relayed to the installer that indeed its P399.

Sa initial installation it depend sa plan applied and sa type of hd box, sa P1,999 installation fee ko dati may kasama pa na signal filter, ngayong mas mura installation fee wala ng filter and mas maliit na yung box, baka mas cheaper brand.

Na confirm ko naman na yung P799 and P 399 for addl. box has the same 18 mos. lock-in. Nabago lang talaga ang rate, and umabot lang ako sa P399.
