ah ok, haba pa kwento ko haha.. well for me, the only comparison  I've done is the whether they have NBA Premium TV and UFC channel (Hyper) or not hehe.. for the other HD channels, I've compared my previous plan with Sky to that of the same plan with Cignal.  there are pros & cons for both, it all boils down on what channels are you willing to give up to gain some.

but for the higher plans, I think almost the same lang except for the exclusive channels (like ABS-CBN HD, S+A HD, etc, for Sky; HyperHD for Cignal).

I already shifted to Cignal TV last April mainly because of the NBA channels.  And mas mura na yun plan ko na Plan P490 kasama na NBA HD at may PBA HD pa and Hyper HD which features UFC and golf.   I just added History HD for P50 a month so P540 a month ako.  Half the price of what I pay sa SKY.  Nawala lang yun MTV HD ko, ABS CBN HD, ANC HD and yun Teleradyo but I can live without Ted Faylon and Noli de Castro hahaha.

The good in Cignal, aside from the price, is the digibox's ability to decode Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus.  I can now watch my HD Channels in 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.   The NBA finals will surely be a treat!  The digibox is also very compact para syang bunsong anak ng Skycable digibox ko.

The bad -- pag maulap walang signal.  Minsan umaabot ng 15 to 20 minutes. Hanggang makapal yun ulap yari ang signal mo.  Yun ulan okay lang basta hindi maulap walang problema.

You still watch the NBA pala sir? Hindi na yata kita nakikita sa NBA thread.

It should be the same.  Digital naman yan.  Either zero or 100%, unlike analog.  Advantage ng via fibr walang signal loss pag bad weather.

Yun bad weather naman usually sa hapon so our NBA is fine.  And OK lang mawala signal lalo pag tinatambakan ang Cavs

Is there a side by side comparison online for the HD channels of Cignal vs Sky?

Not sure if this is up to date though. SkyCable leads by a mile, but not having NBA Premium HD sticks out.

^This is the reason im sticking it out with sky. Although it really sucks nawala na yun nba premium. It is a big blow but i have nba league pass, so no problem for me. What i will miss is the variety of programs and games like the post game shows, nba game time every 11pm, classic games, replays, draft, etc. Actually i have the ubox 3, and it has nba premium. Nakakatamad lang to watch it here because it is in sd.

Btw meron hits channel sa sky. Its 137. One of my favs because of the classic shows hehe.

The usual: signal loss due to bad weather or kung magalaw lang ang satellite; Cignal logo on every channel (I wish they'd stop this practice); no ABS-CBN HD and its other cable channels (Teleradyo, ANC etc. mahalaga sakin to). I'm not sure if pwede sa Cignal but I like that you can order channels ala carte in SkyCable.

Thanks bro. Mukhang lamang pa din Sky if it weren't for that all important NBA premium. Will stick with sky muna din and see what happens, tutal patapos na din ang season na to.

Ganyan din thinking ko. Patapos na rin naman ang season. Also the way ABS CBN seems to run their business,. they just might outsnake Solar for the NBA rights in the near future. Then balik Sky na naman.

Hindi na kasi Asian feed ang ginagamit nila for the HD channel. Philippine feed na rin ang ginagamit.

Same din sa Cignal.

Ewan ko Asian feed pa rin ang ginagamit ng GSAT.

Dual Def 999 din ako. Although I don't watch SyFy and Universal, I agree lugi na nga. Sana may gawin na ang Sky regarding the NBA, parang wala kasi it's been months na. The draft can be watched online. Go to reddit lang and type nba streams. May link diyan for the draft.
