Could somebody be kind enough to enlighten me what the Observer could represent?   some kind of angel or it's just one of those things to keep us wondering as the series goes on?

Freckles or not, I like the total aura of the main lady character.  Actually, I like the way she walks.

Anna Torv has what many TV show ladies don't, nowadays: Character.

He's some kind of "Man in Black" character...extremely creepy though. Those who still have the Pilot and episodes 2-3, was he really there in some scenes?

Btw, check out the Massive Dynamic web site--there are probably tons of easter eggs in there for those who can find them.   ;D

The Observer definitely has its basis on the Man in Black urban legend, right down to the freaky way he tries to act normal or human.

^very true, indie boy. Some sources state that he was also partly based on the Marvel Comics character, The Watcher.  Although in Walter's case years ago he didn't merely observe, he actually did something benevolent.

I rewatched the Pilot and episodes 2 & 3, and yup, The Observer was there all right--it's like Where's Waldo?, LOL

No new Fringe episode this week due to the Presidential Debates on US TV, so there's enough time for me to search for the easter egg that gives a clue about the next episode--just like Lost, this show hides a lot of easter eggs, not just within the show, but also in the title sequence: a single frame appears with the words "Observers Are Here" for one second just after the words "Dark Matter" in the title credits.  ;D

The bald guy (Observer?) made another appearance coming out of the elevator in the latest episode.

Episode 6 was a very good Olivia-centric episode--we got to learn more about her, and Anna Torv gives an excellent performance during the the last 5 minutes.   8)

The Observer was a bit difficult to spot in this episode, but he was there all right. ;D

I just knew something was up when they cast Trini Alvarado for such a small role.

Episode 9 was great--the first five minutes alone is a doozy.

And they showed some kind of connection with... Lost?   :D

this got me really laughing in Episode 9: Monarch -

Dr. Walter Bishop: (Talking to Olivia before she enters the tank) "I just got an erection.  Oh, fear not.  It's nothing to do with your state of undress. I think i simply need to urinate."

 :D  :D  :D

Yup, that was hilarious, and the reactions of both Olivia & Astrid were priceless. I wonder if that line was aired intact during the actual TV broadcast? :D

Just watched episode 10: "Safe"  --great episode, with everything building up fast as a lead-in to the next episode, "Bound", which co-creator Roberto Orci calls "the midpoint of the series". Bad news is that episode 11 will be aired next year, January 20, 2009--ang tagal pa!   :'(

Best quote from Walter: "Are you tripping, Agent Dunham?"  ;D

Man, this show gets crazier (in a good way) every episode. I sure hope there's more connection to LOST coz I really dig crossovers.

One of the rare shows this year that's not a disappointment. Hope it doesn't turn out to be another Heroes after a great first season  :-\

At last, Fringe returns with a new episode, and this is one of the best. The intro is unusually long, and I like the way it recaps the plot and main characters without resorting to the old "Previously on Fringe...". As usual, there's a wtf?!! moment right before the opening credits.   ;D

I wasn't able to spot the Observer this time, but I'll rewatch the episode later.

Loved the unexpected twist in the end. Just when you thought you're already deep in the conspiracy of The Pattern, you realize you haven't even plumbed the depths of this whole thing.

He gets harder to spot every episode--in "The Transformation" (episode 13), he's standing on the left side of the field where the plane passes by on its way to a crash landing; you'll have to zoom in closely, but it's him, coat, briefcase and all.  ;D

Whilst Heroes is getting deeper and deeper into a s**thole because of crappy writing, Fringe is getting better and better.Who knew Orci and Kurtzman could actually pull it off? They are this generation's Braga and Moore.

I've seen the first two episodes of this.

I liked the first one. But the second one - - - about the progeria baby(interesting enough premise) - - - had really crappy dialogue (when Lance Reddick of The Wire is giving his briefing to Blair Brown and the others, try closing your eyes and listening to his lines  . . .awful . . not to mention Brown's lines herself all throughout the episode) and some off-putting bad acting on the part of Anna Torv (when she runs away from the lab, distraught over not having found the latest victim or something,I was "ehhh?wala bang take 2 yun?")  , I thought I was watching outtakes. And JJ Abrams had writing credit, too. It ain't as bad as the writing in Heroes but it was a significant drop in quality for me.

I'll check out the third episode, which seems to be off to a promising start, from the few minutes of it I took a peek into. Hope the series gets better as it moves along.
