i think viva has an on going buy 1 take 1 promo on certain DVD's, for astro shang at least. im not sure about other astro branches, havent really checked. but based from what the viva rep told my wife, its going to be until the end of june.

my wife bought POTC 2 dead mans chest and devil wears prada for 350. there were still a lot of titles but i want to check it for myself.

i hope i get my salary this friday....

Magnavision followed suit - I saw an Astro shop placing "Buy One, Take One" stickers on NEARLY ALL Magnavision DVDs, with very few exceptions (American Gangster, Cloverfield).

Happy Viva/Magnavision bargain hunting, people.

Great news, ya I saw that in Shangrila tod in the 5th floor stall ata, but was in a rush.., man I was also in Astro Sta mesa a while ago but my wife was rushing me (2 rushes in a day)

Not limited to Astro. Odyssey and others should have the same promo as well...

would have to check other branches, i was in SM bicutan yesterday, astro, video city, SM dept store and even odyssey did not have the promo.

has anyone seen if other branches have the same promo? like astro sm makati astro MOA?

astro and odyssey branch at sm north the block has this promo. titles as new as hitman and lions for lambs (550) are at buy 1 take 1 promo. promo mechanics is buy 1 dvd, take 1 dvd of the same price or lower.

new releases not included.

i got POTC 1 and 2 at 350. yung part 3 out of stock $:-\$ but also included daw sa buy 1 take 1.

old titles na ni mark down na nila before then minark up ulit, then up again, then ginawang every weekend sale (if you guys still remember those) and now buy 1 take 1 na.

also saw "sunshine" wala pa ako nito

sayang wala na ako mapiling ka take 1.

saw this sale in Astro SM Southmall yesterday. talked to the saleslady (who's been around different stores during sales), she confirmed that the sale is in other stores as well...

oh well... happy DVD hunting once again...

really sir, even hitman is included in the sale? i really have to check it out real soon. me, i was supposed to get POTC 2 and 3, but POTC 3 was priced @ 550. i said next time na lang, my wife just got POTC 2 - 2 disc and devil wears prada for 350.

hope to visit some astro branches this weekend.

i think its going to be all branches, maybe the other branches havent received the memo yet. based from the other posts here, so far, astro shang pa lang and yung stall dun sa 5th floor ng shang and astro SM the block. will post it here if i see it in other branches as well.

Kasama ba boxset? That's what I want... Prison Break kasi mahal 3000 each, but kung kasama sa buy1, take 1. Puwede na rin (although mas mura pa rin R1, if you don't consider s&H)...

I read it again tonight and my impression was if you buy one you can take one of the same or lower price. Just slightly confusing because of the way it's written.

I think it states "Free DVD" if you get another dvd with the same price or higher.....parang ganon.....

That's basically it. Free DVD if you get another with the same price or higher. You pay for 'the same or higher'...not the Free DVD. It would be illogical otherwise.

yup hitman included. kaso kaunti lang yung titles priced at 550 lions for lambs and POTC 3. buti nalang di ko binili yung hitman and POTC3 when it was first released! bilis kasi mag sale ng DVDs!

i also told the saleslady that their sticker is confusing.
the sticker says: FREE DVD if you buy DVD of the same or higher price. (in bold yung FREE DVD)

feeling ko yung DVD na may sticker na ito comes free - if you buy one of the same or higher price. ganun yung ibig nilang sabihin. nevertheless, to make it simple for them Buy1 Take1 of the same price. kse lugi ka naman kung kukunin mong FREE DVD yung mas lower price di ba.

kaya if you get a P350 priced DVD, make sure to get another one of the same price para hindi ka lugi.
if you buy P550 and a P350 - the dvd with P350 price becomes the free DVD.

pero to make things simpler, they can just put the Buy1 Take1 sticker, understood na ng buyers yun... kesa dun sa FREE DVD sticker nila na confusing yung nakasulat...

anyway, ang importante may sale na naman.... and i think MAGNA will also have an answer to this VIVA sale... kaya... ubusan na naman ng pera ito!

I think the ones with FREE DVD labeled on the cases are the ones included in the sale. You can buy lets say viva's hitman at 550 and one of the 299, you will pay 550 for the two discs. I think thats how it works, you pay whichever is higher. I may be wrong.

yep... one DVD comes free... but you pay for the higher cost. so when you get your free dvd, make sure its of the same cost para hindi lugi. unless otherwise, you really cant find one of your liking.
