Cheapest & Reliable Local Shipping
« on: Sep 26, 2008 at 07:15 AM »
hi guys,

am not sure if this info is already available at this forum.

i might be shipping soon a set of gears to the provinces.  could you help me with a list of the most affordable or reasonably priced outfit?  hopefully something you've already tried and been reliable.

kindly post name of outfit and contact numbers.

btw, am shipping from sta. rosa laguna to iloilo.

salamat po ng marami

Air21 lang natry namin dito.

Biggest thing we ever sent through them was a 15" laptop, from Quezon City to somewhere in Mindanao.

use LBC.
i've sent a high-end sony dvd player to davao, a musical fidelity amp to cebu, tubes to various provinces, dvds, etc. all without a hitch.

Air21 pa lang ang na-try ko and puro DVDs pa lang ang na ship ko. So far wala pa ko na-encounter na problem. And their price is very reasonable. Kasi yung same package pag tinatanong ko sa LBC, doble ang quote nila sakin.
SARS!!!

if you're sending big and bulky stuff, try 2GO. i had my 7.1 speaker set and 50" plasma tv sent from manila to leyte without problem.

Anyway, to go back to topic, I posted a more or less similar query a few weeks back, although I meant to ship 42" TVs:

within metro manila, I use Xend express around P50 for small items and parcels.
Mura din ang metro manila to provincial ng Xend but it takes 2-3 days kasi pinapadaan nila sa LBC.
for items na kasya sa pouch, some prefer LBC pero medyo mahal kapag within Metro Manila, nasa P130-140 mga binayaran ko before.

If metro manila to provincial around 250 for bulky items that fit their 3kg box.
I've shipped a Wii and a box of shoes before so nasa ganung range.
some prefer JRS for provincial

2go for provincial deliveries lalo na bulky items

Di ko na nagagamit ang Air21 since they stopped residential pickups (or may minimum fee na yata sila)

Up for this thread. I need to ship a 42" TV + receiver + floorstanders to Catarman, N. Samar.

I checked with AP Cargo and they said they do ship there, but would require that the goods to be shipped be in a crate.

Can anyone refer me to people who make crates? Carpentry is not really my expertise :)

try south seas cargo forwarder if they deliver to catarman. i always use them to ship bulky items from manila to ormoc.

I always use AP CARGO in my experience only the tv in crate . speakers , amps were put in a box . i even ship a bulky crt front projector before , the crate was a very simple wood . it all arrived in very good condition no problems encountered so far. no need for exquisite carpentry . put the tv in its box and reinforce wood outside thats it.

For those who have shipped using AP Cargo, how much is the usual charge for 42" TV? Would 3,000 be a safe estimate?
