assuming for both sir, kung ano meron mas mura ;D

Internal, my choice right now is WD Green.

External, yeah getting the cheapest is not a bad idea, basta hindi umiinit masyado.  Next time we meet papakita ko sa yo yung di umiinit na External model.

Hi Anya,

I have never been a fan of external drives, I never watch naman kasi .mkv files on my PC,
mostly internet and paperworks ang usage ng PC ko, in my experience, Seagate HD are very durable indeed, but like all other equipment, it will break down in the end, and it will all boil down to the warranty, I have 4 PCs here at home and had broken 3 HDs in the span of 15 years that I have been using a PC, all of which served me well, and for as long as the HD is still in the warranty period, I think 3 or 5 years yata, and you were able to keep the receipt, then there is no problem claiming it for replacement.

I have great experiences with Seagate Internal drives, and last week was my first time to use a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green internal HD, (Thanks to Vic...) it is indeed very silent and fast. I still have no info on its reliability though.

The only advantage I see in using an external drive is its portability, you can simply bring it anywhere, kaya lang ako nagkaruon ng My Book WD is that binigay lang sa akin ng brother ko, I only use it as a backup on all my files and documents.

I did asked around sa mga kaibigan ko about the warranty claims ng WD, and hindi naman daw ito lumalayo sa Seagate, madaling kausap for as long as you have all the receipts. I guess, it will boil down to pricing, both internal and external drives are only separated by a mere 500 pesos na lang yata, mas mahal ang external ng kaunti...

Regards,

Benedict

ssds are expensive per gb ratio.  but performs pretty well.
some had bad reviews though, or maybe they just dont know what theyre getting (or expecting too much, if i may add)  ;D
since both have their pros and cons, youll need to understand/research how your system works (or what applications youre planning to run) and what format will give you the utmost advantage.
if you want you can get a wd raptor for an internal drive, it has the advantage of both formats, with almost no flaw  ;)

they are per order basis in Questlogic Tech Computer Store

I consider SSDs as luxuries at the moment not only because of the price, but also with the way I use hard drive space - BITIN.

Yes Bro.  Between 1.5x to 4x ayon sa aking tests.  I would normally get around 20-25Mb/sec transfer speed through USB 2.0. Kung eSATA between 30-80 Mb/sec.

Other than more expensive price for external drives or external enclosures/docks, none that I know of.

Oh. medyo matigas yung eSATA cable and not as flexible as USB.  ;)

Ako na ang sa-sagot: 350pesos sa TipidPC. 450 to 550 pesos sa Gilmore.  ;) ;D

In case you have a Gigabyte 780G mobo and want to have AHCI here's a link on how-to:

Not waste of money kase ang convenient gamitin and ang dali mag-set-up (talking about Buffalo brand NAS).  Ang mahal nga lang compared sa "mano-mano".  :)   So kung dami pera - very good!   ;)
