Here are a few pics of the room. I'm very thankful for having a very patient architect

Each piece of the panel was framed and had rockwool in it. This was certainly no easy feat, the pattern was psuedo-random and each piece had to fit together, just like a puzzle. That.takes.time. But the end result is something that's quite unique.

The ceiling has LED strip lights (cant be seen in this pic)

Just noticed of paneling from floor to ceiling which, I assume all stuffed with absorption material. Could it be you get anechoic room effect?

Impossible in that size room. It is physically impossible to put enough room treatment in a room that size to absorb everything. There is more to treatment than just padding. Some frequencies require treatment devices that occupy huge spaces.

One can just sit and accept the effects. Good or bad. To see how your room is sounding, you can play music loud. Most anomalies come out in high volumes. A frequency sweep will also reveal room response. You will hear tones go up an down.

The amount of absorption depends on the material used, it's STC or Rw rating. The enquiry was for the installer or owner to provide us specifics, and not to immediately jump to the conclusion by looking at images of the portion of the room... I invoke this subject for the members like me to get educated not to....

with all the absorption + the carpet - yes. very close to an anechoic effect. Not the most optimal for pure audio listening.
