Same question, looking for a decent BD player that's multi-region for DVDs

Panasonic BD player can be unlocked for Region free DVDs.

Many PDVD members have this brand, maybe some are ready to sell :)

Added the LG UP870 3D Ultra High Definition Blu-Ray 4K Player  110 V from Amazon US.

Very cheap basic no frills player with a landed cost of less than P7,000.00 and delivered less than a week after I placed my order. Will test this over the weekend.

How's the performance sir so far?

Very satisfied sir for this budget "dumb" BD palyer. Does what it's supposed to do which is display excellent video of bluray discs (4K and regular BD) with fast loading time. The only thing that I tried which this player can't do is play 4k and/or Atmos files via its usb port using an external hard drive. Otherwise this review is pretty much spot on:

I recently bought my very first 4K UHD BD player, an LG UP870 on sale from an online US electronics retail store. As dencio105 mentioned, it's a no-nonsense player designed for those who want functionality and simplified features. If you are planning to buy a UHD player with streaming apps, then this is not for you.

^ Good to know that you finally got it. Did you pay anything extra for the Customs?

^The player was shipped in a double box (manufacturer's box + shipping box), so it may have caught the BOC examiner's "watchful eyes". It was randomly picked for inspection resulting in delivery delay for several days. While no customs tax was collected since the item is de minimis, UPS nevertheless charged handling and storage fees; I was able to haggle and brought the charges down by as much as 50℅. The UPS rep said I would not have been charged at all if the package did not catch BOC's attention in the first place.

Got a LG UP875 4K Ultra-HD 3D Blu-ray Player from anya618 back in January. Simple & no frills 4K player, but does the job well enough for the lower end price (P8,500). One minor complaint is the cheap looking remote & that there is no direct "subtitle" button on it. Anyway, bang for the buck na rin in terms of cost & functionality.  ;)

^ Other than the LG UP875 being a previous Best Buy exclusive, it shares the same specs and even firmware updates with the UP870. The most recent was 5/12/18 and I was able to get FW version BD38.819.80420.C, while the driver/servo version remains unchanged (UP17SON0017).
