the 3390 actually sounds quite good. it compares favorably to my vtl tube amp. the new hk 3490 is out already as well.

Can't go wrong with the HK 3390. I immediately bought one last year to replace my HK 3480 (an older sibling of the 3390 but more powerful @ 120wpc). I'm no expert in audio but I definitely know what is a good sounding music. This receiver just like my previously owned HK 3480 & HK 3475 kicks ass! It produces clean sound, good punch & come to think that I am only using a Daichi made US Audio floorstander speakers. At pinaka-gusto ko sa analog receivers ay hindi nag-o-overheat kahit pa walang patayan ng isang linggo na hindi ko magawa sa HT receivers or sa Tubo.

HK 3390 is priced 18k @ one AV store in Park Square, Glorietta. Don't know about the local SRP of HK 3490 but to give you an idea, I sold my 1.5 year old HK 3480 for 12k last January here at PDVD. Hintay hintay ka lang baka me biglang magsawa... malay mo bigla kng ibenta yong HK 3390 ko.
