Received a bill today, informing me that they will upgrade all plan 790 subscriber this coming September 1, 2014... No choice pala tayo nito. Huhuhu

Kami wala pa rin since Glenda. I emailed Cignal last weekend and finally spoke to a CSR this morning after several attempts during the week. I was told to wait for a text within 3-4 days from their technician. So tunganga muna ulit. I was reassured that a technician will visit within that timeframe and that charges will be adjusted for the service interruption.

Re forced upgrade: di yata pwedeng ipilit 'yan. Don't want to pay extra for channels that I didn't originally subscribe to. Dapat idagdag ng libre.

Noticed na si Cignal may mga partner distributors dito sa provinces, not sure sa GMA. I suggest you get the number of the technician or the distributor he's working for, so next time you can call them directly, di na dadaan sa Cignal hotline na congested after may bagyo.

humax ang box ko. do a HARD RESET
unplug unit from main power source then re plug in after 10 minutes.

if na mis align lang yan you may try to do a left-right adjustment. just tweak it in millimeter kasi sensitive yan.

as for the force upgrade I will not need the new channels and I'm fine with the old plan. Kung ano pinirmahan ko na monthly yun pa rin dapat.

Thanks, sir. Actually, ginawa ko yan after I was frustrated with not being able to contact Cignal. I kept the number of the Cignal territory partner who installed our dish, and asked them if I can negotiate with them directly for a repair visit instead of having to schedule it through Cignal. May charge sila eh - is that appropriate? Kasi kung via Cignal, walang charge. So I said let me try Cignal first. I was also worried I might violate Cignal's T&C if I go directly to the territory partner.

Dolby stereo yes. But not dolby Surround 5.1

Sorry for the noob question, but what is the difference between dolby stereo and just the regular stereo?

Saka nakita ko din sa website nila may dolby digital plus sila? What are there differences?
Noticable ba ang difference nun?

For those whose dishes were affected by glenda and have experienced days if not weeks of service interruption due to dish mis-alignment, will cignal make adjustements to your bill?

After all, responsibility nila ang i restore services nyo (natin) as soon as possible after such incidents.

My bayad daw ang ganitong service sabi ng cignal daw dahil acts of nature daw ito at hindi covered ng warranty.

Hindi ba dapat eh walang bayad ang ganyan kasi kasama sa service nyo talaga ang mga ganitong pangyayari. Bakit ang meralco hindi naman naningil sa mga customer nila nung mga nagbagsakan ang mga poste at transformer nila? although isa lang ang may-ari nito si MVP.

Sobrang gamahan sa pera?  >:D

we are paying subscription fee... walang service fee embeded sa monthly fee.
parang appliance lang binili natin, pag tinamaan ng kidlat at nasira hindi kasama sa warranty yun.
unlike sa other services, kasama lagi ang maintenance fee sa charge naka compute na yun.

sa satellite kasi like sa ibang bansa , dapat kabit and forget na yan. kaso sa atin me bagyo kaya meron case na need talaga service.

To be transparent, hindi yung act of nature ang kine-question ko. No brainer yun.

What i was pertaining to is cignal's responsibility to deploy enough service teams in a timely fashion to re-align dishes of affected subscribers.

Some subscribers have been without service for days if not weeks now.
I dont feel that it is fair to charge a subscriber the full monthly subscription fee if cignal does not provide service/maintenance for misaligned dishes in a timely manner.

correct, kaya dapat rebate lahat ng affected subs.
kasi di kakayanin ng mga contractor nila ang repair. sa amin nga meron pa 100+ pending for repair. di matap9os kasi umuulan pa at yung iba me pasok sa trabaho.

sobrang tagal ko ng walang cable cignal. tssk tssk. Ilan ba ang technician ng cignal bakit sobrang tagal ng responde nila?

Anyone here kung paano ayusin ang dish allignment at paano ayusin ang digibox? na ireset ko kasi to factory setting.

Napuntahan na kami finally ng Cignal-appointed technicians. Misaligned lang nga yung dish. If you follow Cignal on Facebook, meron silang DIY video for realigning the dish. Pero medyo mahirap for subscribers like me with dishes that are not easily accessible.

My understanding is after the tech visit, Cignal should make the necessary adjustment to the monthly bill. Hirap lang talaga tumawag sa Cignal to confirm this.
