I own a japanese surplus sony cdp 100v., it is a fast reader. but its very sensitive, madalas na syang tumatalon kahit sa orig na cd's. is it possible that i can replace the lens? kung pwede san meron? is it woth it for a replacement? suggestions on what to do is greatly appreciated.

A Sony lens is very common - infact, it is also being used by a lot of branded cdps. About 1.2-1.5k for a bnew lens. Have it checked in Audioworld in Banawe.

Sir Macdon, thank you for the info., as for the sony cdp model it is a sony CDP-990. a very old one. parang sayang lang kasi kaya gusto ko syang palitan ng lens. partner sya ng vintage pioneer sa-9800 ko na amp.

Guys, I also need help coz my old Luxman D-007 transport skips and/or returns during the 1st or 2nd track on the CD. Will I need lens replacement? what type and where can I have it replaced? Thanks.

would you know what is the replacement lens of a Sony CDP 333ESD player and where also can it be bought? mine has difficulty reading cd copies already and at times even original cds.

I also have that CDP. Nice sounding BTW.

It uses Sony BU-1E. Very hard to find I'm afraid.

look for the model of your cdp. right column indicates transport type/lens used.. hope this helps

As far as I know, lenses for sony cdp's should just cost around 200-300 pesos. Raon prices nga lang.
