HELP- Need Advice: Bluray bdp-s350
« on: Aug 20, 2009 at 07:21 AM »
I believe the Sony Bluray bdp-s350 was released last year. I found in other forum selling bdp-s350 (already multi region and sealed in the box) for Php22,000.00.

Now I need your advice if this Sony Bluray bdp-s350 make sense to buy for 22K? other reason I ask for advice because I don't know really the lates Sony DB player out in local market.

Thanks and Mabuhay PDVD!!!!

instead of getting a region free bd player for 22k, id get a region A bd player AND a region free dvd player. the total cost would still be less than 22k plus hindi malalaspag ang lens ng players mo kasi separate sila
just my 2 cents  ;D

If that is a pre-owned item with no warranty, hesistant ako dyan. Dom was selling a Panasonic BD-60 for P19,000 brand new with warranty, also multi-region DVD already.

anya's suggestion makes sense because like you, most of us have multi-region DVD players already. Buying a dedicated blu-ray player is cheaper. anya just sold a brand new blu-ray player for only P12,500 may warranty din yun.

Agree with the others. Since you already own a region-free DVD player, then you could aim for a dedicated Blu-ray player instead. Save the P8,000+ for your AV accessory or simply use the saved fund to get a few more BD movies to start off your BD collections.

You may want to consider the latest PS3 Slim which will be launched in early Sept at about P14k plus. Many PS3 owners are satisfied & happy to use PS3 as their BD player (not to mention you can also use it to store your videos, photos, play games, music, etc).

Btw, Amazon is having a BD promo until Aug 21: Buy 2 FREE 1. ;)

I'm only for PC gaming not PS/xbox gaming.
talaga meron BD promo ngayon sa Amazon.. tamang tama nag papa buy ako ngayon.. masabihan nga.

By the way, thanks sa mga advice nyo I'm now considering DOM's BD60 player pag ok na yong price.

Thanks :)

I passed by Listening Room in Shangrila mall, Panasonic BD-60 is P19,000 daw pwde card and according to the salesperson pwde gawing region-free for DVD. Best to call them and confirm if this is an option for you. I think this is the cheapest region-free DVD, blu-ray player available locally.

At least kay Dom sure ka region-free!  I have a feeling hindi totoong region-free yung sa shang. There's a hardware chip that needs to be installed, not just a matter of punching a few buttons. So tama yan good decision!
