Ive been eyeing this NMT for months now, im a bit worried kung pano or san maka pag downloads ng HD movies. ???

Yes, you can connect an external dvd rom. It will upscale dvd movie upto 1080p

once lumabas ang IP address ng xtreamer sa tv, browse that IP in your netbook or ipod/iphone browser. sa bandang baba ng lalabas na webpage mayroong link na "Remote 1" and "Remote 2". yung isang layout pang PC, yung isa naman pang ipod/iphone. forgot which is which since wala na dito ang xtreamer ko. :D

Can anyone confirm if the Xtreamer with built in sidewinder heat sinks currently being sold in the marketplace are the models  which feature a new revised version of the Realtek 1283X chipset that allows for bitstreaming of Dolby Tru-HD and DTS-HD MA?

Xtreamer won't be able to bitstream Dolby Tru-HD and DTS-HD MA. Only the Xtreamer Pro is promised to have this feature in the next update.

Sir Ditoy I got this from Xtreamer.net forum, statement from a tech forum moderator about the Xtreamer sidewinder as HD audio capable:

"Xtreamer offers 3 media-players of which 2 are almost identical. Xtreamer (mk1) is the 1st model, it supports laptop HDD to be mounted but does not offer HD-audio bitstreaming support.
Xtreamer SideWinder is the same device only it comes with passive cooling mounted and it does offer HD audio bitstreamming when new firmware is released.
Xtreamer Pro is basically the same device, only this offers desktop-HDD support ( 2 HDD's ), HD audio bitstreaming with new firmware and has double ram ( 256 Mb ) compared with the other 2 players."

We will have to wait for the new firmware to be released then to confirm this.  Baka mamaya same as the Xtreamer mk1 nakasulat sa specs pwde HD audio, then wala din pala. So nobody can still answer your original question. Hintay-hintay muna tayo  :D

pag kakaintindi ko dito pareho lang niya ng mk1, kung passive siya at wala ng fan parang mas gusto ko na ang mk1 at least mayroon kang option lalo na pag summer na maiinit ang panahon dito sa pinas, wala naman kasing sinabi na 2x ang ram gaya ng xt pro, tapos when new firmware is realesed ano iyon hindi compatible sa mk1 na ang pinag kaiba lang ang sidewinder!!!  :'(

Oo nga Sir Ditoy, kagaya nung xtreamer mk1 ko hintay ako nang hintay for the hd audio firmware pero di raw pala pwede.  Wait na lang muna...

ang pagkakaalam ko ang Xtreamer Sidewinder pareho ng chipset ng Xtreamer Pro pero ang same memory ng mk1.  bale ang installed firmware na nung pagkabili ko 2.3.2S.  eto nakita ko din lang sa net:

* DTS, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD HR, Dolby Digital Plus
* Factory-Instaled SideWinder (Passive Side Coolers) --Totally Silent & Fanless
* New Updated 1283+ Realtek Chipset which allows for HD-Audio Pass-thru*
* Solves the most common shortcomings of the Original 2.5 Xtreamer

hey guys need your help. i've activated the folder lock feature of the xtreamer with my external hard drive. for some reason even when i deactivated it  i cannot move or delete files in my external hard drive using my laptop. i can still see them in the explorer.

i never had this problem before when i didn't use the folder lock feature yet. it's a hassle to manage files thru the xtreamer

 :'( kawawa naman ang mga naka mk1, hindi nga sila kasama sa mga bagong upgrade na tru HD
ng xtreamer. sa akin walang problema at hindi naman ganuong ka ready na ang set up ko kaya
ayos lang, kasi kung nag kataon baka mas malaking gastos pa ang mangyari at mag hanap pa akong amp na tru hd na. buti nalang kaya no harm done...

is tru HD that significantly better? i'm using a 5.1 system and i'm happy with it. maybe this feature will be more appreciated with a 7.1 system???

@cire naka Xtreamer ka na rin pala.  Parehas na tayo nila chief ng gamit.  :D :D.   Nasubukan mo na ba yun jukebox na yan?

@ rony, hindi ko pa nasubukan sir nag hihintay pa ng released.

fyi: mag kaiba ang chipset ng mk1 at ng sidewinder edition kaya hindi ito pareho.
      kaya pala ang mk1 ay hindi hd audio ready kasi may problena daw sa chip.
      pinalitan nila yun sa sidewinder edition kaya hd audio ready na ito...

he he he parang may mali sa mga unang bumili at nag post sila na pwede ito sa future update...

at eto pa, nag ask ako sa xtreamer.net kung anong option mayroon ang mga bumili ng mk1 na umaasa
sa pangakong hd update? na imbes update ang ginawa nag labas ng new breed ng xtreamer he he he

inalis ang post ko at sabay locked ng thread!!!!!!!!

kasi po ang option lang binigay nila ay bumili ulit ng bago  ;D negosyo!

been watching the avatar last airbender cartoon.
nagkakaroon ako ng 1 second video loss, average of 2 spots per episode.

no problem on the pc. initially played it over the network, then on different drives,
but it always occurs near that spot.

sa egreat m31b ko puwede HD audio pero you can be happy with 5.1..

not too much a difference for me..for me lang ha..just giving advice..

sana!!! pero sigurado may mga minor nalang tayong ma encounter at wala namang perfect kaagad pero para umabot na sila sa beta 16 kung baga ginusto na rin nilang masubukan ng maigi bago ilabas para yung mga reklamador medyo mabawasan, pero kung titignan natin on a brighter side aktibo naman sila sa pag papaganda
ng mga xtreamer natin.  ;)

Bossing...download mo lang yung Xtreamer Live ver 9 and you're be good to go. Just follow the instructions, naka-integrate na dun yung mod pack (like skins, movie jukebox).
