it seems it sounded a bit contained when placed in front (front firing). unlike when it was in the corner, i really cant tell where its coming from (maybe because it's hidden?)
btw bro the front speakers are a little over 1ft. away from the wall, is that ok? or di i need to put something at the back like an acoustic board or whatever you call it?
If the subs sound better to you in the corner, leave them there.
It is normally a very good idea to have the front speakers AT LEAST 1 ft away from ANY wall or cabinet or whatever. You get a smoother frequency response.
Of course, it is always good to have an acoustic panel at the back, as well as at the sides, at the ceiling ...
I'd also suggest that you move your center speaker so that it is just a bit beyond the front edge of the shelf. This prevents the initial sound wave from bouncing on the shelf. Also, make sure that the tweeter of the center is pointing at the level of your ears. If it doesn't, put a kalso and make it point to ear-level.
