After searching the net, it turns out that IPS Alpha also makes them in the Czech Republic (mostly for Euro market). I'm thinkin the C10X panel may likely be from Malaysia, hence allowing a lower cost.

I'm also unsure if it's a pro or con... I guess it's not a deciding factor for most. LCD Display techs have their advantages and disadvantages. It's almost like comparing LCD vs. Plasma hehehe. Aside from this, a better implementation of a low tech design can beat a poor implementation of a more elaborate technology. The supporting electronics also differentiate each TV as much as the panel used.
