sir, can you please post a tutorial on the firmware update. i really can't get the firmware update going via USB.

what i've done is:

1. download the files from the briteview site (install.img and install.img-sig but turns out to be install.tar and install.img-sig.txt)
2. save the files in the root directory
3. plug it in the cinematube
4. start the firmwareupdate
5. result - nil (message is can't find image file)

next step is:

1. extract the files from the install.tar file
2. go thru steps 2 to 4 above
3. result - same as nr 5.

help pls sir.

2. Download the file (install.img and install.img-sig) from www.brite-view.com/support.php
3. Copy it to the root directory of the USB
4. Go to Setup, under system choose USB update and click ok.

sir ok lang ba eto kahit sa samsung ht e connect hindi pa kasi kaya bumili ng high end na ht eh.2 kasi pinag pipilian ko yung cinema tube at extreamer hopefully sana makabili ako nito sa january.yung lcd ko pala is lg 32lf20fr bought just this december.thanks!

@sir macmel - I'm sorry that I wasn't able to reply to your inquiry right away. Anyways, to answer your question, currently the cinematube can be a NAS client. Meaning it can access files on your computer or other NMT

@sir shoji - Yes, you can connect it to a samsung HT. You can visit our dealers to check it our for yourself. I think sa Gadgets in Style sa Shang uses a samsung HT lang.

I just thought that some of the user of Cinematube would be able to answer. I was really interested with the Cinematube but would really take one if only it had the NAS feature. I have the Xtreamer already and the WDTV1 which both can do the NAS feature.

Is there a possibility that the NAS feature be added in a FW update in the near future?

Sir Triple-HD,

What I wanted to do is the other way around, to be able to share the files from Cinematube (on the connected USB drives). As I have several XBOX1 (1 ea. for the 3 rooms) that access their content via the Xtreamer and WDTV1 (connected USB HDD) and I wanted to add the Cinematube to my setup ( I Love the torrent capability) as my NAS drive just died.

The Kids Love it whenever I say that have a new movie available for watching (ages 2 to 4), and they know how to operate the Xbox's.

Will I be able to do that?
