Hi everyone. Proud and happy owner of this awesome TV as well.

Aside from the "pillaring" (backlight spots on the left and right ends of the TV) which only appear on black/very dark screens on high backlight settings, almost everything about my set is a-okay.

I do have 2 minor problems with the set, though. I would like to know if anybody has the same problems and luckily, if anyone here has a solution to these problems. Sorry for the walls of text btw lol.

1.) Faint, very dark green/transparent horizontal bar (about two-thirds of the screen) located at the middle of the screen. Hardly noticeable actually, but gets pretty annoying in the long run. It appears on ANY appliance I hook up to the TV via A/V and component ONLY, my HDMI inputs are completely fine. I've noticed it whilst playing on my Xbox 360. When watching cinematics that scroll up or down, the bar becomes noticeable. Sometimes the dark "bar" moves up or down when something moves on the screen, like if I open the Menu for the TV or if I launch my profile screen on Xbox Live.

At first I thought it might be a ground loop problem, so I used a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter (coincidentally, my multi-switch extension has a removable prong as well). Didn't do any good. Cable interference? Tried moving everything away from my TV set and my Xbox 360. Still didn't do any good.

A temporary solution I've found after going through all display settings is to set the backlight all the way up. The "bar" mysteriously shrinks into oblivion and display looks perfect again. Prob is, it goes back regularly when I turn off the TV or the Xbox 360.

Why I'm going ballistic over this is because my TV isn't supposed to be like this. If I turn the backlight all the way up for the "bar" to disappear, I risk the lifespan of the bulbs and there's also the problem of high electric bills. Anybody know a good solution?

2.) The minor of the 2 problems. This is REALLY weird. I have a Samsung Home Theater (model HTZ220) hooked up to my TV via HDMI (for the DVD output) and whenever I turn my TV on or off, the disc tray ejects and stops halfway or abruptly, like it's getting some kind of signal from the TV controller. This does not happen all the time, maybe 2 out of 5 times I press on the power button on the controller for the TV. It's a bit annoying since I have to stand up, reach for the player and close the damn thing by pushing the tray back in.

Sorry if both problems have been posted already. If they are, already, please point me to the right direction. Anybody here who knows a solution, I need your help. T_T

I think this is my first proper post btw, since my previous posts are concerned primarily and only on selling liquor lol.

Regarding your problem with your tv and your samsung HT, samsung has a feature called "Anynet+" which enables samsung devices to get synched. I have a samsung LED TV and a samsung DVD player. When I turn Either one on, the other one turns on simultaneously. Through this feature, you could also use one remote for your samsung devices. It works thru an HDMI connection. Try to hook em up using a different conn and see if it still happens. If it doesnt, look Anynet+ up on your home theater and turn it off. I think this may solve your issue.

I checked my HT and it doesn't seem to allow me to turn off Anynet+, but I could be wrong. I think you've nailed it sir. I will check again, perhaps there's a way to turn it off.

Many thanks. :)

If I were you, pagbaligtarin mo ang posisyon ng desktop PC at ng LCD TV.

Also, a friend told me they're reselling the scarlet/32LH70YR line pero 60hz na lang (wala nang 120hz Trumotion). To future buyers, make sure to check it out first.

Hi:
I read a lot but can´t find anything about these:
I´m trying to see movies with subs saved in SD and conected via USB port in my 32LH70YR.
The problem is that is dificult to read subtitles because small print and very close between characters.
Is there any way to ajust characters type or size?
Will help upgrade firmware?

I have an other question.
Is not allowed post firmware files links?

Greettings
Tony

bro, please elaborate.
Is this another classic case of LG's excellent after sales support?
Pasensya na kasi very sensitive ako sa service o trato ng mga kumpanya sa mga customers.
On my  part kasi the  most important for me when deciding what to buy is the QUALITY and RELIABILITY of the unit.
The quality madali ma-evaluate on the spot, but the reliability is proven through time of use.
And this is where the after sales support comes.
Baka sakit lang ng ulo ibibigay nila.
TIA!!!!!!!!!

Have you guys heard of any issue with this unit overheating that might affect some of the internal parts? Recently kasi I noticed na I sort of smell something burning whenever I turn the TV on.

Also, meron din bang LG Service Center sa Metro Manila?

i need help..there's something wrong with my unit. when i turn the main switch on, yung center button (with the illumination) goes from red na paikot and then blue, flickers for a while and then back to red again na paikot and then again with the blue. paulit-ulit lang, all the while no pictures or anything.

sabi nung last na gumamit, she was watching movies/tv series via hdmi then bigla na lang nag-off and then that cycle happened.

any insight as to what happened to the lcd tv? one year and 5 months pa lang namin nagagamit yung tv.

I will call lg phils service center tomorrow to have it checked.

It seems like your remote have some stuck keys or contaminated. Thus doing another function when a specific button is pressed. Thus the reason why your batteries drained fast. If the remote has an LED lamp indicator near the top, does it light even if you're not pressing anything?

Possible cause is the circuit board or rubber contact pads inside the remote unit is dirty/wet. Maybe previously spilled on. I guess it would be difficult to dismantle the remote to check them. If you've done so, better use an isoprophyl alcohol solution with cotton buds to clean the contacts/rubber pads.

Since LG doesn't usually repair the remote, they would most likely sell you a new replacement remote.
