For those having problems (known here as "Issue #1"), just curious if the problem persists even if you disable the SIMPLINK function on the TV?

Sorry I can't check for myself coz I don't experience this issue at all.

Bro try to reset your LCD to it's default setting, some sort if restore factory setting before you follow the step by step procedure on how to check the issue # 1

For those still planning to buy a 32" FullHD LCD TV. Think again.

I just came back from the Appliance Store. The 3 units LG 32LH70YR on display (running demo units), were also gobbled up by the customers before Xmas. Those are the April 2009 and June 2009 Manufacture Dates. And there are no more 32LH70YR available as of this time. Accdg to the LG Salesman, he had ordered another 30 units which most likely will be delivered to them by January. See how hot these units are selling.

For those interested on 32LF20 (FullHD), I did find some units being sold at Shopwise Libis for php26,995.00. I know that this model had run out on most appliance stores for quite some time. While the 32LH20 is being sold at Robinsons Appliance Stores for php19,995.00 starting today. I believe they do have a lot of unsold units of this model left in their stock, therefore the reason for the discount.
Saan kaya ganyan kamura, eh nagikot ako kahit saang appliances center eh, ang mahal pa rin. 25K ang offer sa akin sa avenson na yung 32lh20.  Sa robinson appliances lang ba.  nasaan ba yung branch nila.

Just inquired about the LH20 last night sa Robinsons Appliance Center - Metro East and the price is still at 25k. May I ask who you talked with? Para mahanap ko. My brother in law is planning on getting a LH20.

Thanks

Sorry guys. Got a confirmation just now from the LG Salesman (thru phone) that the price of the 32LH20 is php29,995.00 less php5,000.00. So the price is really php24,995.00. I will not be able to go to the store everyday to check on the prices.

I was told that he did committed a mistake on that day Dec 24, 2009. And 3 customers almost had bought the units at php19,995.00. He clarified just now that this should be for the 22LH20 instead. Not really worth it for this 22" unit.

I guess the price had already gone back up again during this holiday season. It is better to wait till mid-January when prices would most likely come back down again.

Lucky for those who have bought their units before the holidays. That's why I got mine early too.

It's ok. I'll just advise him to buy next year na lang. Para sabay na kami. Baka maka discount pa :)

kinabit ko sya yesterday to my PC, using HDMI 2 (tagged as "PC") connection on an ATI HD4770 videocard, set it to 1920 x 1080, ok naman kaso di nya sakop yung buong screen (parang merong black margins on all 4 sides). tried to navigate thru the different ratios (16:9, just scan etc) kaso ganun pa din. native 1080p ang tv na to diba so kapag naka set ang resolution sa 1080p, dapat gamit nya ang buong screen? tried to use the VGA connection but the text legibility was crap. im using the latest catalyst drivers BTW, on windows 7. any help/input will be greatly appreciated. cheers!

di lang pala ako. hehehe. nagtataka lang kasi ako, this is supposed to have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p) kaya nga eto binili ko para TV/Monitor na sya. nag didisplay naman kaso nga lang di sakop lahat ng screen, which is annoying. kapag naka 1080p ako using my HDMI dvd player, sakop lahat ng screen. and the last monitor i owned (Samsung 2233SW) has 16:9 1080p resolution din, wala naman problema. im thinking sa windows 7 to siguro, or sa catalyst drivers, pero most probably sa TV to mismo e. parang wala ata sya 1:1 pixel mapping? try ko mamaya sa IGP and ill let you guys know. at any rate kung meron may alam kung pano remedyuhan to by all means share the knowledge hehe. cheers ;)

I owned this unit as well. Connected my PC to the TV using VGA cable and sakop naman yung buong screen. Win XP os ko with an Nvidia 6200 videocard. I set the cards resolution to 1920 x 1080 at ok pati text.

Same here VGA Cable on Vista and Win7, using a Thinkpad with Intel GMA 3100.  1920x1080 covers the whole screen.  Ang pino ng text!  :)

Called LG customer support but Joel Canoy was on leave today. The CSR got my name and the issue. I mentioned that Joel Canoy already knows about the issue and the history of the complaints. I'm expecting a call from him as soon as he reports back to work.

Hope we can go forward with the issue.

I haven't called LG Customer Service and consult things regarding this issue. I'm kind a busy this past few days and considering it's holiday I was thinking that maybe LG CSR are on vacation too, LOL!

So BTW what did the CSR said? Do you think they have plans, or maybe doing a necessary action regarding this issue?

THANK YOU

Hi Jcads,

Repeated the steps again one by one with all the picture mode and confirmed have encountered issue # 1
using natural and sport mode,the flickering did happen and dead remote.
Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade solution.
Simulation Steps made was"
 -Turn-on HT904 with HDMI 1  and Turn-On LCD with picture mode vivid as the 1st setting.
 -Turn-off HT904 then turn-off the LCD,then turning on the LCD again Result is good.
 -Repeated it in all Picture Mode summary results are:
  Vivid       =No Flickering;Remote Functional
  Standard =No Flickering;Remote Functional
  Natural    =Flcikering;Remote Not-functional
  Cinema    =No Flickering;Remote Functional
  Sport      =Flcikering;Remote Not-functional
  Game      =No Flickering;Remote Functional
  Expert 1  =No Flickering;Remote Functional
  Expert 2  =No Flickering;Remote Functional
Hopefully theres a solution for all user of 32LH70YR will have a piece of mind. ;D

Beg to counter on your finding..mine was in:

HDMI1 = Vivid = Flicker; Remote not-functional

Solution (thanks to Jcads/Ppoooh): Power off everything. Removed plug from the AC adapter until red light disappears. Plugged it back in, power on source, power on LCD. Working again. :) will have to report this tom.

for those with ATI Video card here's the tweak to make your desktop full screen on your lcdtv.

Quote
Underscan/Overscan settings for TV can now be applied from the Catalyst Control Center - TV Properties Adjustments page

I made a short tutorial in case others are interested in changing this setting. To adjust Underscan/Overscan in Catalyst Control Center (version 9):

* right click on the Desktop and choose Catalyst(TM) Control Center

* find the display you want to configure and right click on its icon from the lower part of the window and choose Configure

* go to the Scaling Options tab and adjust the slider as you see fit (for me it's 0%, so the image can fit the entire TV screen) and click Apply

Happy Viewing.

how do you check this out?

Bro to check your LCD firmware insert a FLASH DISK on the USB Port and the go to MENU selection. At the Menu selection screen HIGHLIGHT the OPTIONS on the MENU and then press number "7" on the REMOTE seven times.

You can check the Box or I think at the back of the LCD for the Date Manufactured...
