sir pa-report din if you will experience the glitch as reported by other members in the previous posts. Since bago naman yung manufacturing date, sana wala na.

How can I connect my Logitech 5.1 speaker to this unit? Logitech X-540...

It has three jacks/connection to deal with (center/sub, front and rear)...

good morning folks! i couldn't believe that finally, meron na akong scarlet. uber happy. i bought this from remal sales last february 12. i didn't expect na sobrang laki pala nya. buti na lang nagkasya sya sa tv rack. i needed to cut a layer para lang magkasya sya. the tv rack was originally made for a 21" sony tv more than a year ago. so far, i haven't encountered any problem. yung nga lang, medyo na-frustrate ako 'cause it's not playing .mkv files. but still not giving up. i can feel na pwede sya. still googling for the workaround up until now. manufacturing date: january 2010. firmware version: 3.25.

I'm not sure if this solution was already posted in this forum, but in case hindi pa, share ko lang.

For those proud owner of the Scarlet that are encountering flickering and losing control with a blank screen of their TV whenever they shutoff their HDMI player, I think I got the workaround. Here goes:

Go to Option and turn Simplink to OFF. That's it.

Tried it. Shutoff my Xtreamer connected to HDMI 3 and the TV screen goes blank and then show the message "No Signal". Switched OFF and ON my TV with no problem. Cycled to all Inputs with similar success.

Looks to me like a problem with LG's CEC instruction. My Xtreamer has no CEC and my Philips DVD's CEC is not working with LG's Simplink, so I'm not losing any functionality shutting the feature off.

Now, I just hope LG is reading this and starts doing some firmware update to address this. Then maybe they can allow my Philips to work smoothly with their remote control.

Well, I have some questions though....

Does LH70 supports 120 trumotion while connected through PC but connected thru HDMI? I noticed that RGB/PC input doesn't support trumotion...

Also, is it ok if I use DVI-HDMI cable to connect my PC to the TV's HDMI? would there be a big difference?

Why you want to play MKV files on your TV since the TV won't support DD, DTS, AC3 5.1 that has been encoded on the HD movies. This will also produce more heat on your TV.

anyway, I'm using an Xtreamer for playing video files on my scarlet, kaya I dont have to worry on this.

Also try nyo yung energy saver ng scarlet to reduce heat.

Try comparing a movie (Matroska) with DTS and a movie(Divx) MP3 audio that's the time you will see the difference. PQ also of the Divx against the PQ of matroska movie. As i said for me i experience this and i don't want to go back on watching Divx with MP3 audio. 

What you think in the long run will go more the LH70 that use the internal player (USB) in playing Divx or the LH70 that connected via HTPC HDMI in playing HD and DVD movies?
