Hmm, I should have checked out this thread before I got the Klipsch RW10 Subs from a friend.
Anyway, its worth every buck for my stereo application

Anyway, got me a pair of RB-81 last Wednesday. Bordering brightness siya pero very much controlled. And correct si Don Pipit. Ma-datail siya and the best part is, kayang kaya i-drive ng 3 watt amp ko.  Though one very good reason for it's "ma-detalye" is the 97 db sensitivity.

The highs were not typical ribbon or cone tweeter sounding. But the airy character of horn tweeter is very much present minus the kilansing.

My first klipsch was a synergy2 bookshelf. I was enjoying it in my office matched with a technics amplifier, when one day i decided to bring it home in its box together with a yamaha amplifier for weekend mix and match purposes. Next thing i knew there was Ondoy (the storm not the pdvd member.TY nga pla sir the tannoys.hehehe ) again...ondoy and  both gears fell victim. Haaay...sad story noh...   Ok. happy story naman... I just aquired a Klipsch reference rb-81 a couple of days ago. Okay.... make that 3 days ago to be exact. Anyone who is into detailed sound would be extremely blissful with this. And yes my friends, its also that clear.

Sa Spectra ka ba bumili bro? Sakto kasi yung day na sabi mo when someone also picked up a pair there. Di ko alam kung ikaw yun.

Anyone here who has or have heard the klipsch synergy with a pioneer receiver?

Asking since i might not be able to bring my receiver when i audition the speakers.

Went there this morning to audition the Klipsch i've stated.
They were definitely brighter than the infinity primus set i also auditioned.
But the receiver they used was harman kardon so i don't know if the change in receiver would be that noticeable.

ah....you found them too high sounding? im actually getting the synergy package tom but ill be pairing it with an onkyo. as per sir marc, he said that it would be calmed down with the klipsch being matched to the onkyo.

gosh, now im wondering if i really will like the klipsch now. could you maybe tell me how you found the klipsch

Well it was not that bright paired with the HK receiver just a bit brighter compared to the infinity primus.
But still might get this for our HT setup since i like/miss the treble compared to our current setup.

Maybe a bit OT but what is the general concensus here about the sound signature of pioneer receivers?

Is it warm,bright,laidback, etc. ?

wow, im not sure bro...i would really love to be able to answer your question but the problem is that this will be my first set up. im not counting the htib's i've had as a home theater.  how about this, ill ask them to pair it with a pioneer tom when i get there and ill let you know how i find it together. what kind of pioneer are you referring to?

I'm using the pioneer VSX-519v but unfortunately for me they don't have pioneer receivers at avshop. 

It's either i buy it directly or i bring my own receiver when purchasing.

i think that would be the best thing to do...well, thats just my opinion. i guess that im lucky lang that they have the same receiver i'll have.  so the tweeter is not to tiring to listen to naman? hehehe now i cant seem to stop wondering
