Hi Conan I see in your sig that you drive your Klipsch with Onkyo 608 and I am guessing that it is match made in heaven..I am about to purchase my friend's onkyo 608 and just wanna hear your 2 cents about it. I own a RF52 driven by pio 820, it is pretty decent although some records sounds a bit on a high side.

Yes I believe that the Onkyo 608 is a good match with Klipsch for HT purposes. If you're going to listen to records or for pure stereo listening I suggest you look into this T-amp, Topping TP60 sold by Capital 1 here on PDVD. It's around 50 watts per channel and the sound is identical to the current NAD integrated amps. NAD is a very good match with Klipsch if you'd have a chance to listen to them paired together. This T-amp will put to shame a receiver when listening in stereo mode.

I heard that Zamony will no longer carry Klipsch speakers. But a source said that another local distributor will carry the brand. I hope that the prices will be similar to what Zamony has done in the past as it was cheaper to buy Klipsch locally compared to the US.

Thanks! will be getting 608 tomorrow, when I get the extra budget I will consider that t-amp. I think it is much efficient as far as power consumption is concern. Thanks Sir. BTW sent you PM.

Congrats! How would you describe the sound of the speakers matched with Pioneer? I think Pioneer is perceived to be bright.

Tested my RBs with Pioneer dati. Pio AVRs are not bright at all. My AVR is a 2009 model pa. Walang auto calibration so labas talaga ang house sound.

To be honest sir conan this is my first setup(newbie lang me) so medyo hindi ko pa ma compare with non bright set up kung sobrang bright nga ba yung tunog nung akin pero nakakatulog naman ako pag play ako music at nakahiga sa sofa hehehe parang baby na hinehele,

Lucky me siguro hindi pa me nakakadining nung mga magaganda talaga ang setup hehehehe kung hindi sigurado naghahanap na ako ng upgrade hehehe

Pero I heard my speaker na nakakonek sa NAD Amp and NAD CD PLayer nung audition ko yung RB61mk2 mas maganda ang tunog compared sa pioneer 920 ko.

Planning to purchase a mid level integrad amp soon. Any Suggestions?

Ah ok. I see some shop owners who "label" Pioneer as bright in their for sale threads.

For bang for buck, is the sw 450 ok? a little bit more is the rw10.

And maybe in the future, its gonna be a dual sub setup.

Thanks

Thanks

The SW-450 is bottom firing, with a back port, while the RW-10 is front firing with a quarter front bottom port.

It all boils down to you on where you'll place the sub and how you'll use it (HT or audio or both)

The SW-450 is easier to place and integrate within the listening area as compared to the RW-10, but the RW-10 once properly placed/integrated offers better 'finesse' over SW-450.

Of course, your ears and wallet will still be the last to judge which is which.

Hmmm... Im leaning towards the sw450 due to the fact that its cheaper.

Will use it for 50% movies, 50% gaming. kaya yung control nia on music, not a factor na din... Although the rw10 goes lower, and is only 3k pesos more kaya napaisip ako hehehe...

Thanks sir!

I heard the SW450 and i was amazed by it.. Montik na akong mapabili nang dalawa nito pero i was looking for a 12 incher.. The sound of the SW450 is the reason why napabili ako nang Klipsch Sub... RW12D

Great sub in my opinion...

ask nelson (nelson de leon), he owns a pair of RB-81s for 2 channel valve music.

I believe they are bright (the horns are effective) but it also depends on your amp if you want this brightness attenuated or boosted.

Hello to all Klipsch speaker owners!

I've tested my klipsch speakers with a 1979 AKAI vintage audio amplifier. I fed my cd player with the  bossa nova music of Lisa Ono. The bass produced a thunderous sound and you can hear clearly the  sparkling sound of the legendary klipsch horn tweeters. The sound was so vivid that you can hear the detailed instruments, the vibrant strumming of guitars, the powerful drums, the dynamics of cymbals and most of all the crystal clear vocals.  :D
