I'll be tempted if pricing is below 6.5k just like the Xtreamer & other sigma players recently introduced in the market.  ;D

But if I have the money, i will definitely buy an HDX. Saw one from a pdvd member, unit looks elegant w/ its aluminum casing that also serves as heat sink. kaya daw hindi nag-iinit kahit nakaplay ng 24 hours.  ;D

yeah, that's true as i had seen one in action from ehome. Its brushed aluminum casing makes it top-notch and according to  owners of this unit, playback of files is stable.

dvico nmts especially the higher models(6500a and later) are much more expensive. Around 18k for the 6500a.

Pero yung mga bumili na ng 2 or 3 models in the 6-13K range have already spent more than the price of the Tvix 6500.    ;)  Hindi malinaw sa aking pananaw kung sino ang naghihikahos in terms of these NMTs?   ;D

from wisegeek.com

External Serial Advanced Technology Attachment or eSATA is an external interface for SATA technologies. It competes with FireWire 400 and universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 to provide fast data transfer speeds for external storage devices. it is an excellent choice for external disk storage. Unlike USB and FireWire interfaces, eSATA does not have to translate data between the interface and the computer. This enhances data transfer speeds, while saving computer processor resources and eliminating the need for an extra off-load chip.

my dell pc(wc i use for downloading) has eSATA port, so transferring of the files will be faster using this connection. ive tried it with a 40GB file from my PC to an external HDD, 8-10minutes lang. ;)
