HUDDAF:
Surround placement was limited due to the shape of the room as well as the terrible location of a roof beam:

To compensate, i angled the ceiling speakers away and towards the back to disperse and widen the effect and all things considered, it ain't too bad at all

And once i have the grills in - it becomes practically invisible which is the look i was going for

(the way i see it, if i can figure out a better location for surrounds down the line, i'll use the current surrounds as rear surrounds for a full 7.1 setup
