Props to the Celtics for a hard fought Finals.

I think...and Doc has confirmed it that next season's Celtics will definitely be different from this one.

Being a true PnG fan since the time of Magic, all I can say is Buck Foston! Bring it on next year! We'll be here waiting. Hehehe Ohhh...Lebron to Boston?  ;D

Hardest game to watch, especially for Lakers fans.  Langya, 3 quarters akong di malaman kung pano upo gagawin ko especially when LA was down by 13 and with Kobe having an off night in offense (6 of 24 fgs).  Good thing, the other guys pulled through - Odom, Gasol, Fish and yeah, Ron Artest.  I thought Kobe's decision to rebound and pass rather than shoot was splendid.  Hindi nagpilit.  His pass to Artest for a 3 was the clincher, reminiscent of MJ's assist to Steve Kerr.

Despite the loss, I take my hat off to Boston.  They fought it out, blood sweat and tears till the end.  They just won't go away and it makes the win for LA truly sweet.  Beating a team like Boston is indeed an accomplishment.

So LA goes for its first 3-peat next year.  Coach Phil's 3rd.  Kobe's 1st.  and Kobe's 6th ring, tying him with the greatest MJ.  Can they do it?  Versus Boston again?  As for now, haaay, ayoko na muna manood ng basketball.  I feel like I had an NBA overload with 7 games of Boston - LA.   World Cup series naman for a change.

I betcha Phil comes back. The lure of another threepeat and the high of this game 7 championship will be motivation for probably a farewell stint as LAker coach.

And 12 (championships) is a good number ;)

Actually, naka-threepeat na LA before in the Shaq/Kobe years of 2000 to 2002.

Pjax will returnfor sure maski 1 year contract lang. the lure of 4th threepeat is hard to resist and kobe/gasol/artest are all undercontract only fisher is a FA but will surely will be signed. the LA organization will push hard for everyone to comeback or make the team more better for the 2011 title... siyempre they want to chase boston's 17th titles

Whereas in beantown, doc might not comeback, rayray, tony and nate are all FAs

Ron says "Thanks to my Shrink! "

It is Hollywood, it is the Los Angeles Lakers and it is Ron Artest. Moments after winning Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Ron Artest during a post-game interview with ABC/ESPN said the most remarkable things.

First, he thanked all his people in the hood, his family and wife of course but he also thanked his psychiatrist, not once but twice. Ron Artest thanked his psychiatrist for helping him with "visualization," for helping him to stay calm, "relaxed" and focused. And he somehow managed to make a plug for his new song, a single that if the audio was correct was named "Champion?"

Forget Boston, I'm actually yearning for a Kobe-Lebron match-up in the Finals next year. The rubber match with Boston will have to wait.

I'm thinking LA will add another quality player to solidify their rotation, probably an adequate back up for Bynum. The lure of a championship might entice players to join the LAkers.

Thanks!  I stand corrected.  Yes, when Shaq was still dominant.  And Kobe was, well, a superhero sidekick.

An LA-Boston Finals trilogy would be nice, but everything hinges on this year's FA signings.  There could be a new powerhouse next year.  Wonder if LA will make another blockbuster deal (Bosh for Bynum? :)).  As for the Coltics, looks like a major overhaul looms...

Dalembert was traded to SAC for Nocioni and Hawes!  If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it...
We deserve better.

Lebron to the Bulls?  Why not?  Lebron and Rose look formidable.

Hmmm...A Bynum for Bosh trade was rumored before the playoffs started but I'm willing to give Bynum another chance. I just hope Andrew doesn't turn out to be an injury-prone type big like Greg Oden.

Lebron to the Bulls makes a lot more sense, seeing as James would probably get a formidable team right away than going to New York, Jersey or the Clips. Boston would probably add more firepower to their team and I'm guessing Ray Allen bolts out since the Cs were offering him before the trade deadline if I remember it right and even Rondo before the season started.

For a Lakers fan, I don't think there will ever be a more perfect postseason like this for the following reasons:
1. Beating the Phoenix Suns team that beat you in the 1st round in 2006 and 2007. 2006 was bad especially when the Lakers were up 3-1.
2. Beating the Celtics team that beat you bad in 2008. Especially when they throw rocks on your team bus and rock it after the game. - However, the way the Lakers fans are rioting on the streets in LA is reprehensible.
3. Beating the Celtics in a game 7 for the 1st time. I actually remember the 84 series although i was quite young.
4. Getting Bill Russell to handover the Finals MVP to a Laker who just beat his Celtics. Jeeze, that's bad no matter how much they are paying him to do it.
5. Winning a game that they should have lost makes it sweeter in the end. Most of the columnists had the Lakers losing a tight grindup game. It was a grind up game but the outcome was different.
6. Artest has a better rambling post game interview in 2010 than a drunk Brian Scalabrine in 2008.
7. Seeing Kobe relax and put away his scowling face. Seeing him fess up that this ring gives him one more than Shaq was priceless.
8. Sasha shooting two free throws to seal it. I think nobody in the Lakers team has more hate on the Celtics than him.
9. Artest playing a big game and making good on his 2008 promise to help the Lakers. Nobody could have predicted that he would actually do it.

Notes:
1. Good thing they didn't wear the white home uniforms. They often lose wearing those in big games.

I hate the white uniform of LA. It's sacriligous IMHO coz it should only be Purple and Gold in Los Angeles. Good thing they only wear that on Sunday games and Holiday games ata.

As for Bill Russel giving out the Finals MVP award (named after him now), I don't think Bill minded at all. He hasn't got an air of arrogance in him, even when he was lording it over the rest of the league in their unbelievable 8th straight championships (1960 to 66), so I don't think handing it over to a LAker would be a big deal.

But I have to agree, beating the Suns and Celtics on thier way to the trophy was sweet, sweet revenge.

I like what Dr. Jerry Buss said in the end that they were energized by those who abuse them with beat LA, beat LA chants.

Turned out, not the best in the East, not even history nor Red's ghost can beat LA.

As a fan though.....I felt that when the Lakers enters the Finals, it seems that all other team's fans merge to root against the Lakers.

Thats why this is sweet  ;D ;D

Correct! Even those who don't actually follow the NBA. In my office, i think only 2 of us were rooting for LA.

Dami kasi talaga ayaw kay Kobe. Kaya maraming tao matamlay ngayon. Maraming natalo sa pusta :)

can't wait for the lakers to try and win the third one next year. i don't want to see them trade bynum if he recovers next season. for me gasol and a healthy bynum is still a force to reckon with next year.

Well, that's about it,
we win some, we lose some...
It was a hell of a game for both teams...
(but somehow I can't help but compare the intensity of the BULLS games during their championships...)
Anyhow, my congratulations to all LAKERS fans...

Cheers..!

Talking about NBA bets, mas madaming natalo at nasunog sa pustahan kay Lebron.
