Im riding on the Green bandwagon....not that I think the Lakers can manhandle them, but I admire these guys being underdogs and proving all the so called NBA experts wrong.

In today's Adrian Wojnarowski's article on Yahoo NBA:
"With an endless bench of physical big men, the Celtics were constructed to overtake the Magic in the East. This was the plan, and they watched it unfold perfectly in Game 1".

I do believe it now. And we're not even fielding out yet Celts krypto-nate to their superman  ;D

Boston's defense did the trick. They single covered Howard & everyone, from Kendrick, KG, Sheed, & even Big Baby made life miserable for Superman in the shaded lane. They virtually eliminated the kick-offs to an open man in the 3 point area. This is where the Magic thrive, they have a bevy of shooters but everyone's covered because the Celtics didn't double on Howard. Still, we can't count Orlando out. They played 3 bad quarters but got back in the game with a big 4th quarter spurt.

And Kobe's in a groove right now. He's not forcing shots and hitting them at a respectable percentage this post season. If he hovers at the 50% shooting clip he's on right now, it's gonna be hard to stop the LAkers.

^^ Crucial talaga si Odom for LA off the bench.  Muntik na siyang maka 20-20.  He also gave Bynum some time to rest his knee.  Hope Odom keeps it up.

It's still early and Phoenix can bounce back, so I hope the Lakers won't be complacent.  This is Part 1 of LA's Payback campaign this post-season.  Hopefully, there will be a Part 2.  :)
We deserve better.

mukang mahihirapan talaga magic sa boston, sa tingin ko malaki ang effect nung nawala si turk. although carter is a potent scorer, he doesn't create mismatches the same way turk did. if boston can keep howard at bay then it will be a short series.

the magic did not release hedo, his contract expired and went up north for more money (10m per year) which he was overpaid,

eventhough he was their "clutch" player last season hedo is a stuttle step-shoot back (or sideways)player , he has only one move and the ball is stationary on his hands. actually VC did not replace hedo. hedo and rashard almost play the same, spot up shooters without defense. now VC can drive and draw defense and open up shooters (pietrus, nelson, rashard, reddick).

One thing to note though was the Magic have better chemistry with Hedo than Carter.  The offense actually stagnates when Carter has the ball.

i really dont know if they have the same or better chemistry but one  thing i find very disappointing (if you are a magic fan) is rashard lewis... a tweener  forward who dont like to get physical inside and outside he just wait for the ball outside, doesnt bring the ball, no defense whatsoever.

Part of it has to do with KG's defense. Last year's ECF Lewis would just drive by his defenders. This time he either hesitates or doesn't attempt to drive at all.

I think the most-important part of Hedo's game that the Magic misses is his passing and stability. He never looks rattled, even in pressure situations and actually has the balls to shoot when needed if passing to a teammate is not an option. Turkuglo's one single offense is undoubtedly effective, if only because he uses his height and his awkward fall away angles to the utmost advantage (very hard to block). Well, that's what I've observed from the times I've seen the Magic play last year.

carter missed 2 crucial freethrows...

After the defensive rebound, Reddick made a crucial mistake by running to the half court before calling a time out until 3.9 sec remained instead of 9 sec. They could have had a better shot for OT rather than the 35-foot 3 pointer by jameer nelson which didn't even touch the rim.
