When Richardson hit the shot, I was "Fcuk, it's Tim Thomas all over again!" But I was confident Kobe would hit another game winner then when I saw the angle and way he shot it I knew it wouldn't go in and out of nowhere Artest zipped across the lane, grabbed the rebound and threw it up, went bank and in and wow! From WTF to WTG!

Ako naman - from "Hay buhay.." to "Hay salamat!"  Crazy plays from a crazy guy.    I also thought PHX was going to steal this one ala Tim Thomas in the '06 playoffs.  BUTI NA LANG! 

But hats off to the Suns, especially Nash - he was really unstoppable.  This loss is tough, but I don't think it weakens the Suns' confidence one bit.  This series will probably go the distance.

It wasnt Howard's elbow that concussed Davis but Nate Robinson's. Check the vid again, youll see Nate blocking Howard and his arm hitting Davis after. Parang david vs goliath. Davis swaying as he is running towards the bench. I dont think Howard is dirty, he just happened to be tall with his elbows sticking out. But purely unintentional. Di kagaya ni Bowen, all intentional.

Watched live this morning.  Had to rush to a meeting after so I'm not able to post immediately.

It's one of those Western shootout match.  Kobe and Nash trading baskets.  I thought Nash played MVP-like in this game.  LA applied great defense this time.  I always said that offense may win games, but defense wins championships.  Artest made a poor 3 point shot when they had fresh ball possession. J Rich hit a desperation trey using the board at that to tie the game.  Go-to-guy Kobe hit an airball but, lo and behold, Ron the Goat was there for the "lucky" winning shot. Nag ala Rudy Distrito hahaha.   What turn of events indeed. 

It's not an ideal win for LA but a win is a win and I'll take that anytime. 

Game 6 on Sunday.  My bet?  I'd say LA will wrap it up in style on the road.  And it's not going be a close game like this one

Kobe has been playing heads up basketball this series.  The past 2 games he had double doubles.  This game he had a near triple double - 30 pts/ 11rebounds/ 9 assists  Far from the hogball Kobe of old that we know.

Steve Nash had a monster of a game. It's a pity the Suns lost but hey, there's a game 6 at home to look forward to.

So far, the Lakers have had one game for each series where they won by luck this postseason. I'm excited to watch Game 6 but the Suns are like two teams, the veteran starters and the young bench. From what i saw the past two games, the Suns' bench players are nearly undefendable.

^ Sabi nga ng iba, luck favors the prepared.  Based on the replay, Artest knew the shot was going to be short - look at how he darted from the three-point area to the paint, and how he placed himself in the right position to get the offensive rebound.  This was more than luck.

Ive just read this ESPN article....

6 current players of the Lakers have ties to the O'Neal Trade.

Bynum, Odom, Gasol, Morrison, Brown and Farmar.


This franchise knows how to maintain an elite team.  You unload a superstar...even at the time, you think you dont have fair value...but look at it now.  Even while rebuilding, they dont go down the cellar...they still field a competitive team.  

And while the Lakers had its share of "luck" on game winning plays:

.4 second shot of Fisher, the Horry 3 against the Kings and now this Artest shot.......the team must be consistently good so that you keep on getting those opportunities to win.


Suns meanwhile has the other side of luck on its tail....
