Solid win for LA - thanks to Kobe's 3Q performance and Fisher's Rondo impression in the closing plays.  Series is far from over, but this win on Boston's floor should give LA a huge psychological boost for the remaining road games.

Yeah, I'm concerned about Bynum.  Obviously, something went wrong and he had to play limited minutes in the 4th.  Any update on that?

Magkatotoo kaya sabi ni Pierce? Di na kaya babalik ng L.A.? ;D

Ano kaya lasa ng humble pie?  ;D The Truth pala, ha?

0-13 shooting was really bad plus pierce in foul trouble but it was still close and exciting

It's confirmed. The series is going back to LA.  :P

What's with the refs? 3 consecutive wrong calls?  ??? Good thing they can review it now.

Possible pa rin na hindi na ito bumalik sa LA  ;D ;D ;D

I think Ray Allen was affected by the short turnaround between Game 2 & 3. Also, the Celtics were going to KG too much in the early going which made Pierce and Allen grow cold. Who will more fresh on Game 4 will have a definite advantage.

Nice game! Hats off to King Fisher for carrying the Lakers in the 4th Qtr.  Without him Boston would've ran over the Lakers for sure..

Ray Allen had a very bad game.. well, I guess that's how shooters really are.. when they're on a rhythm they can be very hot and deadly but when they're not, they suck big time.

The Celtics should not have allowed this game to slip away.  It's actually their biggest opportunity to win with the home court advantage on their side and Kobe shooting a miserable 10 of 29 from the field, Bynum out most of the 2nd half and Gasol limited to only 13 points... haaay...

Well.. nobody expected that Fisher will give LA the big boost in the 4th Qtr.. Galing na beterano talaga.. maaasahan..

Bawi na lang ulit next game.. oh and Pierce should shut his big mouth now and let his play/game do the talking..

I still think the refs are deciding the game with waht they decide to call and the non calls. It just makes the game less fluid. They should just let the players decide the game and have a less of an influence. Calling ticky tacky fouls on both teams that makes the players sit because of foul trouble makes the game stall so much.

Good thing they can review the last plays to make the right call...

Sadly, the officiating of the game by the refs did not improve.. mas lumala pa nga sa tingin ko..

Hope David Stern and Co. do something about this.. baka kelangan nila palitan mga refs na matatanda na at malabo na mga mata...

Eh ang dali naman mag-predict ng Lakers-Celtics.  Kung sino panalo ng game 1, yun na ang champion ma pa 4-1, 4-2 or 4-3 pa man.   ;D

Anyone recalls the dos command BBALL in the late 80s?   ;D

Speaking of foul trouble, who's next?

Game 1 - Allen
Game 2 - Bryant
Game 3 - Pierce

Yup. I had them floppies (Lakers-Celtics) along with my Leisure Suit Larry games running a looong time ago. Add the Jordan Vs Bird game with the matching twist wheel code to enable you to play the game to the list and it looked like we just asked our Dad to buy a computer for the games.  ;D I really loved that LAkers-Celtics game with the showtime LAkers, especially with the Jabbar skyhook almost unstoppable. Even had Jeff Lamp burrying the Cs with three pointers. Hehehe.

agree...Officiating really needs to improve.....pero compare nman sa Game 2 mas relax naman ngaun.  Bdway what's the rule ba sa Replay review? is it only allowed in the last qtr. or the whole game applicable..ilang review allowed for each team?....It' only the contested out of bounds lang pala ang pde baguhin..the fouls cannot be turned around.. Just like the Lamar vs. Rondo thing...it should have been a fouled not the issues of who touch it last...

Great Defense for both team.....almost used up lahat ang 25sec. shotclock.

Hehehe.  Fatigue factor was very realistic too.   Most effective way to stop Jabbar was to tire him out...The physical Pistons were very tough to beat too.  Hehehe.

Going back to the current roster, naninibago ako sa "dilim" ng TV while watching the BC.    ;)

Hahaha! It's like Gasol would fit the old Cs profile.  ;D

Oh, and MJ was a beast even in those old Dos games. I can still remember the "thudding" sound effect of a made basket in that game.

according to the rule book

Referees are permitted to use instant replay in the following situations:

• To determine at any point during the game whether a 24-second shot clock violation occurred prior to the release of a successful field goal attempt or prior to a foul being committed.

• To determine during the last two minutes of regulation play and the last two minutes of any overtime period which player last touched the ball prior to it going out-of-bounds or whether the ball was last touched simultaneously by two opponents.

In game 2, Ray Allen broke records with his near flawless shooting.    Earlier, Ray Allen went 0 for 13 field goals.  Zero.  Itlog.  Bokya.  Helloo.  And it happened right after he broke records just the other night.  That's why Allen can never be a great player for me.  He's a good player.  Good shooter.  But a great one he ain't.  Great players win big games.  Great players close out important games.  Game 3 is an important home game for Boston.  A win gives them momentum and a big psychological advantage.  Allen actually had several good looks and golden opportunities to keep them alive but Jesus Shuttlesworth couldn't nail those jumpers.  He even missed a layup.  Oh Jesus!  Malas daw sabi ng Boston Coach ( nagtagalog na si Doc Rivers sa bwiset ). Malas?  Hindi minamalas ang great players.  They win crucial games.  Big games such as Game 3.

But credit goes to Fisher who did it again.  As Kobe said, over and over and over again.  In the finals!  What would Kobe do without the fish?  The fish defended well against Ray and he killed Boston's furious rally with timely baskets, the best was his "and 1" versus 3 big Boston defenders.

I was expecting Kobe to pour it in earlier and showcase his breakout game.  He is due for one ( not good news for Celtic fans ) but it didn't happen earlier.  Good thing Fisher came through. Well, maybe next game Kobe will take over for a commanding 3-1 lead?  Ano kaya ;D

Now, Pierce must be praying it goes back to LA ::)

live by  the three, die by the three

and again Pjax went to basics again with the high pick and roll with kobe and fisher, that's a double bladed sword if boston switched, kobe will have his mismatch but boston didnt kaya fisher got good looks, again a stroke of genuis.

Kobe 10 of 29 from the field.. missing 19 shots

Allen 0 of 13 from the field.. missing 13 shots

A difference of 16 shots taken.. I'm sure if Allen attempted 16 additional shots probably he would have been lucky to convert some.. give him 50% of the 16 and his total would have been 8 of 29.. which is pretty close to Kobe's stats.. ;D

Not to take away the Lakers' good overall defense on Ray Allen, but his legs probably got tired also because of all those running around to evade defenders and get to his spots..

It may have contributed hugely to his shooting disaster in Game 3.. shooters need good balance kasi to make a good shot and the legs play an important part in it.

Yes, the Celts played their worst game and not to mention Ray Allen here.

Sobrang galing din ng Lakers. Parang match na match tong series na to - parehas hirap. These 2 teams are bringing out the worsts of each other.

Sana makabawi Celtics sa friday with their A game with full offense defense force!

i agree. shooters can't be as effective as expected if they don't get help from their teammates thru setting up screens. shooters should be perfectly squared up for their shots. and it is hard for them to be accurate with their shots if they shoot from a dribble or if they just got off from a defender.
