Have not tried but basically if your needs are simple, this is for you. But basically, you get what you pay for.

I dunno if you've heard on Nbox Version 3 that can play 1080p video files as well but is easy on the budget too around P2,500. Might be a better alternative to the cdrking media players.

Nbox N82 (or also called version 3) is sold at several computer shops which location you can find sa Tipidpc website. I know of one shop (forgot the name though, sorry) sa Gilmore which sells it fo P2,600.00.

tried N82 this afternoon. can't read my external hdd (philips 320gb). don't know why.
it can read other external hdd though.

word of advice. make sure to try it out first with your external hdd before buying.

what hdd are you using 2.5 or 3.5? i dont have nbox but i read from tipidpc forum that its usb port is not powered unlike other nmts, try 3.5 hdd with power from its adapter if you haven't did it yet. 8)

A friend of mine bought one as well. So far we have tried 3 different brands of external (3.5) powered hard drives (1 ntfs and the other 2 fat32) and so far no problems.  :)

make sense now. the n82 (and probably the cdr king media player too) cannot power a bus-powered 2.5" external hdd. which can be easily be resolved with a usb y cable and an ac-to-usb-power adapter from cdr king worth 60 pesos.
