Topic: External DVD DRIVE/ROM for HD Media player

Hi There,

I just got the Measy E8HD Media player, Im just wondering if I can still play my DVD's with it using USB External DVD Drive. Acording to specs it says its can but not sure what models are compatible. Anybody who has tried it worked?  BTW im looking for a compatible USB External Drive, in case ur selling one one, let me know. 09228087277

Just FYI.

Even if you attach a USB DVD drive to it, it will only be able to play region-free DVDs.

Retail DVDs will not work because they are encrypted.

When using external DVD with the media player can you watch the complete Movie/concert (not file by file) just like an ordinary DVD player with Title Menu and root menu.  OR this will just to VIEW the .VOB files and can be watch per file of .VOB?

Depends on the media player.

I don't own a Measy so you'll have to ask the seller that it's a specific requirement for you para walang surprises when it's time to buy.

Ang weird lang kasi a external DVD ROM drive will cost you the same as a Dibidi player nowadays and sigurado pa yung Dibidi that it plays

Yes indeed it wasn't a practical idea, naisip ko na un... But the thing is that if it will pass through the Media player, it can upscale 480i videos into higher resolution.  Marami kc akong rare titles ng DVD that I loved to play.  Thanks for the advice.

Kung naka network yung media player nyo s PC nyo, mas ok kung i-mount mo yung dvd file as an image then share mo yung folder nya para makita ng media player then play mo na. Ako kasi ganito ginagawa ko at mas malinaw talaga yung dvd movie compared kung i-play ko sya sa Pioneer 1080p upscaling player ko.
