The bigger the better but if the tv is for your room only then 32" would do.

Hi Sirs, I am not an expert but I think it would boil down what is your priority in fulfilling your eyes: the "tru motion" effect (and the somehow deeper blacks of the LED) or the size of the 42" LCD...

For me, I would go for the screen size since there are certain details that you're going to miss when you chose the smaller one. IMHO, no matter how observant your eyes maybe, it cannot deny the "bigger" and "wow" effect of the 42 inchers.

+1
I have the exact same sentiments when I upgraded from 32" to 37"..
I now want to *RE*watch all the movies I've seen in my 32 because I have been missing all the details all the while..

Bottomline is
SIZE DOES MATTER. :)
It's not subjective as color, vividness, pq, vq, sq, etc..

hi guys im kinda new here,

i just need recommendations on what to buy kasi im planning to upgrade my display from 21" to a 32" FULL HD TV

im going to use the display more on gaming...it'll be hooked up with my xbox 360 ps3 and wii along with the PC and media players for MOVIES. to break it down 90% of it will function for gaming and the rest for the remaining 10%.

im on a dillemma whether to buy an HDTV or an LED HD MONITOR but so far the verdict goes to buying a FULL HDTV that offers more functionality against MONITORS.

im not that rich so SONY BRAND is already out of the question. just post your recommendations and links for its specs thanks.

most probably id buy from sir vic thanks :p

Hi Bro,
Welcome.
Just a suggestion, since there are more than enough existing thread discussing "help in buying".  Pick up a few pointers there first then once you have your short list, you could participate on those threads providing your input or questions.

Price, specifications, pros and cons are posted in those model specific threads.
Be patient and read through each.  You'll learn more and in turn, you'll be able to participate with your ideas or queries that haven't been discussed. :)

hth. :)

just did and done reading everything here in the forums and now had come to a decision of choosing..

as ive said im using the display more on gaming so...

LG 32Ld460 or LG 32LE550

i can save alot from choosing LD460 but with 60hz for gaming might be a lil dull, so far i have not read anything about ghosting effects from gamers using this display but i dont want to be the first one, another is its issues about backlight bleeding issues, since it'll be used more on gaming, wouldnt this be more prone to it ???

on the other side

this will cost me more since this price is on 31-32k a pop! itz way above my budget. have not read much reviews about this using as a gaming display but with its trumotion spec and running on 120hz, this aint so bad.

any more displays out there for alternatives for gaming?
how about samsung models good for gaming that is a bang for the buck?

gheez...xmas is nearing and i want this for my wishlist ;p

Hope SnS would give me a decent offer this holidays :p

Kaya nung nagdecide akong bumiLi ng HDTV sabi ko yung may tru-motion ang kukunin ko and I end up buying the 32LE5500 modeL! I'm not pursuing you to buy the same modeL im just teLLing my experience about this great TV!

Fyi, the 'Game' mode on the LG LE5500/LE7500 models and up have the Trumotion feature set to OFF permanently. So if this Trumotion feature is what's pushing you in favor of getting the LE5500 over the LD460 for predominantly gaming purposes, it's actually pretty irrelevant. In fact, even when I select the 'Vivid' picture mode during gaming sessions on bright afternoons, I still set the Trumotion to off.

If, however, you do want eye-popping PQ on your 32" set, then I'd say go for the LE5500. It's 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio wins over the LD460's 100,000:1, hands down ;D ;D ;D

Going 3D, at last! (And I don't care it it's a fad.)
