Swamp Shark

-Last time I saw DB Sweeney was in Cutting Edge. Didn't recognize him at first after all the years have gone by and pounds have packed up. Kristy Swanson starred as Rachel the owner of a resto/cafe Gator Shed and Sophie Senise (daughter of Gary) starred as Krystal the sister of Rachel (Kristy Swanson). Movie must be really low budgeted getting a Tommy Lee Jones look alike Sheriff.

Jaws style increasing tempo musical score before the shark attacks. Add some scantily clothed teenagers having some party by the swamp and a Gator festival held on the swamp with a shark on the loose...you know what to expect.

Cars 2

-Cars was very interesting to watch and had really good replay value. Cars 2 was disappointing. The concept of Cars isn't fit to do a James Bond specially if your audience are mostly kids. It was dragging and tiring to watch and my kid lost interest in the middle of it. Pixar could've done better. $:-\$

Just finished Mission Impossible 3 and remembered how much I enjoyed it

-The portion where Tom Cruise flips Philip Seymour Hoffman on the plane and threatens to drop him has nice surround effects. The R3 version is Dolby Digital. Wonder if there's a DTS version, as there are car chases and windmill scenes which provide a nice workout for an HT system.

-Loved the commentary too, as it really felt like JJ and Tom Cruise really liked their collaboration. One of JJ's fave's Keri Russel (of Felicity) was in the movie.

-I'd forgotten that this was JJ's first feature film as a director. Loved Felicity and Lost, now following Fringe and Person of Interest.

Take Me Home Tonight

-Brings you back old memories of the 80's - music, fashion...the works! There were lots of fun moments highlighted by obnoxious Barry (Dan Fogler) and Matt (Topher Grace) taking another hit on the high school heartthrob Tori (Teresa Palmer). The ball scene was just so funny with Matt barfing inside that rolling thing!

If you want to feel nostalgic and remember those good ol' 80's high school/college days, this is a good recommended watch!

City Island (2009) - Andy Garcia plays a correctional officer (prison guard) with a secret or two -- and so does the other members of his family. Its twisted and funny, and in the end, all roads lead to unraveling each family members secrets kept from each other --- the pole dancer, the actor, the jailed bastard son from a teen pregnancy ....
