Journey Live In Manila (2-Disc DVD)

Very very very first time for me to watch Arnel Pineda full length and medyo kinilabutan ako listening to a kababayan lead a very popular international band singing all those huge huge hits. His voice range is really awesome and powerful sounding. His accent may still be there and recognizable at some instances but who cares.

Band seems pitch perfect however I find the sound mix of the DVD to be a little bit too deep and kinda muffled on the vocals. If not for Arnel's huge voice, he might have been swallowed more by the overpowering instrumental sounds. Still pleasant to listen to but hopefully they would improve the sound mix in a later release (if any) and highlight Arnel's vocal better - similar to the vocal/sound signature of the recent Foreigner concerts where you can clearly hear the lead singer.

Image quality is pretty decent for a dark concert in DVD. The Bluray version must be quite nicer (if I can download it fast enough)..hehe

720p version palang mas maganda nang di hamak, the original Bluray of Arnel Pineda's Journey Live In Manila must be quite good!

Very interesting to see Filipino audience in high def, kahit medyo "demure"..hehehe. Where exactly was this concert held in Manila? Parang I can see some buildings sa likod ng mga tao?
