Do you mean downmix to stereo for direct TV output?
There is no such thing as DTS-HD/TrueHD downmix to DTS/Dolby Digital respectively. If your receiver is not capable of decoding HD audio, the best it can do is to output DTS-Core from the DTS-HDMA stream. DTS-Core is always available within DTS-HDMA audiostream. If your NMT is set to pass-through, DTS should be outputted.
With regard to TrueHD, it's more complicated. The only way for a legacy receiver to output sound is if there is an interleaved AC3/DD in the audiostream. Chris Botti's concert BD is a good example of that. There are BDs having interleaved AC3 in English but there are also those with none (unfortunately - in which case, only AC3 in other foreign languages are available) - Saturday Night Fever BD is an example. Wife is a big fan of young Travolta that I finally convinced her to get a new AVR para mapalabas ang English TrueHD sound..hehehe.
In case an AC3 is interleaved in the audiostream, you have to manually select that audio channel via your NMTs remote - it would be like Audio 2, 3, 4, and so forth with TrueHD as the default Audio 1. In the case of DTS-HDMA, DTS-Core will be automatically outputted.
Now if the Xtreamer can't do that, that's pathetic. hehehe. No disrespect meant because it should be capable.
