Yung bluray rip nang Star Trek ko, 34Gb.  Hindi na siya kaya nang 1055+ ko.  It can output TrueHD, but the movie stutters like crazy.  Hindi talaga viewable.

Yan ang tingin ko na weakness nang 1055+, it only has a USB interface.  While it has a HDD bay, it doesn't utilize true SATA speeds.  Parang meron siyang built-in SATA-to-USB converter sa loob.

kapag 1055 lang va usb - external 1tb hirap din sa mga malalaking files??

, by the way I setup the coaxial out to raw and It plays my dts files but on some movies with aac i have to set it up to lcpm for my reciever to detect the input, is this normal? or I downloaded the wrong stuff  :D. By the way sulit talaga to for 2.5t!

yes, that is normal.

just set your coaxial to lcpm to avoid problems. see users preference between raw and lpcm:

I read the KAIBOIER sees the internal SATA disk as USB, I assume it does internally has a SATA-> USB converter inside, but the circuitry is USB 2.0.

I have a Measy E8HD in the kitchen and it sees the 250GB  drive as SATA, so reads are faster.

If an MT or NMT  is capable of both SATA and USB, i'd use SATA any day (SATA transfer feed is 3.0GBps vs USB 2.0  max of 0.480GBps (~ 480mbps).

Has anyone tried playback of a 40GB sized bluray in your Kaiboer MT off USB, just to see if it will statter in esp. in fast action scenes?

If you are happy with 1080p < 10GB files, you should be ok with the USB interface, just know the SATA vs. USB throughput difference, and that SATA to USB exactly is just a SATA disk connected to a  USB connection , and thus is still just USB.

Egreat R6B is 100% USB and is also Realtek 1055. R200 is 2 x USB 2.0 + 2 x SATA (internal drive and external drive).

p.s.While USB 3.0 is much improved throughput, dont hope for NMT with USB host that is USB 3.0, coz most are using USB 3.0 as slave (meaning PC to the MT/NMT as storage)

Damn!  >:(I was expecting the hdd to be installed inside as native sata! >:(  so, KAIBOIER 1055+ designers want the hdd to act as removable drive like a hdd mobile rack? ???  In this case they should also sell hdd trays too.  ::)  IIRC SATA already supports hot swapping, so what gives?

I do hope besides usb 3.0, hdd media players designers should consider esata or power esata as standard for file operations between pc and other external drives

Shared firmware ang H1055 and H1055 Plus di ba?  I read this previously...  Anyway, invalid ang link nung 1055+ sa ebuyph.  Pero yung 1055 ok ang link.

got my unit yesterday from digitag.

I'll be using it mostly for music.
currently hooked up to yamaha AVR with internal DAC and genesis BS.
my FLAC and high quality MP3 files are sounding great!

though i'm also experiencing the same problem on remote responsiveness.

Kaiboer remotes use the same infra-red codes as LG so the TV gets affected.

we have the same setup, PK550 and Kaiboer 1055 Plus.  Solution?  Transfer my Kaiboer to the bedroom with the Panasonic LCD.

Mahirap magawan pa nang paraan ang remote code conflict.  Kahit mag universal remote pa, di rin makakatulong.

Hindi sir.  Theoretically, component can only carry up to 1080i.  Early Samsung DVD players allowed upscaling up to 1080i via component.  Yung mga Jap surplus analog connector (D3/D4) can also go up to 1080i.

Digital signal via HDMI or DVI (or Displayport) lang ang may kaya sa fullHD.

Many devices can support 1080p over Component Video, sir. Of course, there are also units that are restricted to 1080i over Component.
