I have an ordinary movie file which has only a 2channel audio. My kaiboer H1055 is connected to my Onk 608 via HDMI. It does not have any sound. What should be the setup on the audio of  the H1055 or the Onkyo? Thanks ::)

Just RMAed a 1055+ unit a while ago...
May power naman pero blank na ang display at ayaw na umikot ang fan sa may likuran.
Dapat upon power-on iikot na yun e  ???
Buti na lang pinalitan naman ng Digitag ng another brand new unit  ;D

In the kaiboer website it is saying that it can handle ext2/ext3 HD. But my H1055 could not detect it. Anybody with similar experience?

Sir jerix, set the HDMI audio to raw same as the SPDIF, I have some movies na 2 channels lang but it produced sound. I let the AVR handle the decoding of the audio. HTH.

Question:What file systems are supported for NMT?
Answer:File system read supported: EXT2/3, NTFS, FAT16/32, HFS+ File system write supported: EXT2/3, FAT16/32. NTFS write (not supported and low priority in to do list)

I read this in the FAQ of kaiboer - but my unit does not seem to recognize my ext3/ hd -- is this a problem?

Sir Mon, is your new 2TB HDD formatted/partitioned already? Kasi, di talaga makikita sa 'My Computer' yan once di pa sya formatted.

Hi Jerix,

I just recently acquired my 1055+ from digitag last saturday. Sulit!  i tested it with my NTFS and EXT3
HD files (1TB each). It runs smoothly without any problem. I was able to watch movies that my egreat34 can't read. I suggest that you bring your unit to digitag with EXT2/3 HD files for testing.

Thanks for the info ara -- my HD could be the culprit then.

2. kinabit ko yung 3 colors (red, yellow, white) between DVD player and H1055
3. nilagay ko po sa Raw (audio setting ng h1055)
4. nilipat ko po sa Audio System yung TV.

naka-connect through HDMI yung H1055 to LCD TV.

Next base po pala yung DVD and Speakers na gamit ko.

thanks po in advance sa tulong nyo.  :)

What model of DVD player are you using?
Make sure that the audio out of the 1055 is not connected to the audio out of the DVD player.
To get 5.1 audio though, you need to connect your H1055 to the DVD either by: HDMI, SPDIf or Coax Digital.
HTH!

thanks sir jcsantamarina for helping me out.

my dvd player is Next Base DVD player NB-656. it's an old one. it has only optical at the back of the player.

is it possible sir to connect directly the speakers to the H1055 without going to the DVD Player route? although i already tried it but "no signal" between h1055 and TV was the effect.

thanks again sir. im just new in this field. i really appreciate all your help.

Uhmmm.. You have a Major concern her bro.
Based on the web pics of the rear of your Nb656, it doesn't have any input for audio. All connections are output.
You cannot connect the speakers directly to the 1055.
Best option for now is to output the audio to your TV via HDMI or RCA ( Red and white cable).
For future upgrades, HOme Theater in a bOx setup or AV Receiver + Speaker set will work.

oh i see. i thought i can get something from the old speakers and make it work. hehe..

so you think my best option is to buy a good AV Receiver to maximize/power the old speakers?

and maybe later on upgrade one by one building a good home theater set up. AV Receiver first thing on the list. what can you recommend bro?

hey thanks for helping me out. really appreciate it.

Hi,

I just installed an samsung 1.5TB on my 1055 plus.  Works nicely but i noticed that if i am copying multiple files from my external to the internal drive, the unit seems to reset and goes back to the main manu.  It's not consistent, sometimes it copies the files with no problems.

Did anyone encounter that same problem or may problem talaga yun unit?

Hi,

Firmware date is 20101115.  Tried to copy again multiple movies but now it didn't reset.  What I saw was that there's sometimes a "Remount Fail"  pop out on my tv.  I don't know what that is, i just had to shut off the unit.

Also, I noticed that once i powered off the H1055plus with the remote, The blue light in the front just goes off after a while.  Unlike before, it goes into Red color then the red light would go off after a while.  Pretty weird.

I have an Xtreamer SW and would like to try the Kaiboer H1055 or H1073 as a second NMT. But before buying one I have an audio issue with my XT SW when playing DTS-MA via optical (toslink) cable. All of my MKV files have AC3 and DTS (5.1)audio tracks and they all work excellent except no audio when playing a few DTS-MA files. I would like to know if I am going to experience the same problem with Kaiboer? Some say that it will work via HDMI but too bad my receiver amp doesn't have one. I'll appreciate any opinion or suggestion to this query.

Some say that it will work via HDMI but too bad my receiver amp doesn't have one You need to get one that doesn't only have HDMI port but is also capable of decoding DTS-MA/Dolby TrueHD audio kasi ipapasstru lang ng Kaiboer ang HD Audio to a capable receiver.

Hi...mga chiefs/gurus need your inputs lang on a friends kaiboer h1055...i have some issues in my mkv movies while playing it on his Kaiboer h1055. Movies have abstract discoloration issues while playing on the media player...but playing it on my PC...everything is perfect. I dont think its the HDMI cable as ive tested 3 cables already..and same also with the RCA cables. Anyone here experiencing the same issues..the file is 13GB. Does upgrading FW will solve the problems? TIA

I think the weakness of the h1055 is the avi file. got also an avi file and it was stuttering on the h1055. The same file played flawlessly on my egreat m34a.

From experience the AVI format is the most abused container.

Pretty much too many hackjobs have gone into it since it's introduction many many years ago.

When playing these back using media players what you have to watch out for is warpoints and non-standard encoding that a PC based media player can overcome due to the processing power of PCs but will choke on a low power media player.

as long as you stay with scene based releses you should have no problem on 700/1.4GB avi rips.

Yes you can. It has a copy-paste option. Nasa remote lang ang control.
