This motherboard together with the add-ins has a potential to make an all in one htpc, just add speakers :)

guys, what are the sizes of your tv monitors?

i am leaning to buy a 42" LCD to be used as movie viewing and gaming.  okey pa kaya mag play ng civ4 on a 42" with a resolution of only 1366x768?

I've got a 42" plasma and I watch movies on it. Movies looks great specially HD movies. Haven't tried playing games though. What is CIV 4? civilization 4? I think playing PC games like civilization is still more suitable in PC monitors because the big TV's text is not as sharp and the TV is low res compared to PC monitors.

Sir I need your help. I tried to use my 32" lcd for my htpc but it didn't work. It says "PC VGA" on the screen. I used vga cable and a DVI adapter on the other side which is connected to my cpu.

Thanks.  ;D

You have to make sure the resolution that you've set is compatible with your TV. You can check your TV manual for the supported resolutions.

I just built an HTPC, when I plugged it on my receiver medyo garbled and distorted yun sound sa movies.  I know that there's nothing wrong with the receiver because it sounds ok when Im using my dvd.  There's also nothing wrong with the sound card (x-fi audio); it was working on another speaker system.  what could be wrong? Im usng an rca tp 3.5mm jack.

Hi would anyone know if this is available locally? http://www.rokulabs.com/products_soundbridge.php Looks like a nice addition to a wifi home. Capable of playing flac too. It is less expensive than the Sonos of the Squeezebox, although it might not sound as good I guess it will do the job.

What do you mean by shaky? Up, down, left, right shaking? What's your setup? Does it only shake when you playback videos? How are you connecting your pc and TV?

It was shaky on a left to right motion. My rig's running on an Intel 2.66 ghz e6750, 2 gig ddr2 memory, Palit Daytona HD2600PRO 256MB/128bit ddr3 (connected thru hdmi from video card to lcd). Yes in only shakes on video playback. The rest of desktop activity runs ok. It was set on 1360 x 768. I tried and set it on 1680 x 1050 and it suddenly turned ok. Weird?

Question: I'm planning to build HTPC but my big concern is about the audio, if i will buy a soundcard with analog and digital out, i'm thinking to use the analog out instead of the digital out, correct me if i'm wrong coz what am i thinking is because i will connect it to my HK-AVR135 only and to think that the decoder of my AVR is up to DTS only so if i connect it via digital the receiver will decode the audio, but if i connect it to analog the computer will decode the audio in much higher than the receiver. Am I right?

Baka maguluhan kayo:

Sound Card Digital Out -> AVR Digital In =  AVR will decode the audio (Paano kung DTS HD MA yung i-play like the HD r*ps the audio will be downgraded to DTS only)

Souncard Analog out - > AVR Analog In
=  The PC will decode the audio (So if i have the right codecs ang ma-re-recieve nag AVR is the the right Audio track kasi nadecode na sya ng PC and yung AVR will just Amplify it.

Tama ba itong naiisip ko?

Logitech Rumble Pad 2 USB Game Controller

Sir, can this replace keyboard functions in all games or is it specific in games with controller options lang?

Just download the latest drivers for your video card.

Is this the preferred setting for all 32-inch lcd or just for Pana? I tried to use my lcd pero hindi gumana. I don't know why. Sir glacierfrost told me to check my manual to see what reso my tv supports but I haven't check it yet.  ;D Different brand ba ng 32 inches different reso din ang kailangang gamitin?

Sir, I'm using a 32" Panasonic TC-32LX77M.  Kaya naman nya pero lampas lampas sa boundary yung screen. 1024x768 32-bit color @60Hz yung gumana for my PC. :) It's said in the manual for the LX77M, di pa ako marunong magtono ng video though. hehe
