Same here. Must ok ang KMP recently. Very excellent and smooth play for 1080p's.

Using kmplayer + coreavc pero mukang hindi ganun ka smooth compared sa popcorn hour a-110.

Specs ng PC:
Acer Aspire M3710
Intel® Core™2 Duo processor E5200 2.5Ghz
2GB ram
NVIDIA® GeForce®  9200
Output is 1080p 60Hz sa Sony 40s400
Windows 7 x86

Output naman ng PCH is 1080p 23.976 sa Sony

Followed the steps found in the link in setting up Kmplayer w/ coreavc except for step 3 since i get no sound kaya gamit ko ung Always Use (Strongly Recommended):

Currently using Arcsoft's total media theatre.  For some reason, whenever I use KMplayer and the media file I play is in the network(Etrayz), I can not connect to the internet. I still need to hard reset the router (and stop KM player) before I can surf the net again.

With Total Media theatre, I have no problems. Also It can play BDMV structured folders including Menus. Likewise it can downmix DTS-MA to plain old DTS via SPDIF ;D

I tried VLC on my laptop and the mkv files played fine.  However, when I hook it up to the 42 inch plasa via HDMi cable, i noticed some stuttering.    I then tried Windows Media Player and noticed that the sutter lessened.  Would you suggest that I go with MPC to totally eliminate the stutter?  If i install another player do i need to be aware of any possible conflicts?

In my experience, Windows 7's built-in player, Windows Media Player performs very well with a variety of high definition MKV, WMA, MP4 and Divx files.

If your laptop's integrated graphics supports DXVA hardware acceleration, try installing the latest k-lite codec pack and use MPC-HC. Just make sure that it's configured properly.

You mean the software player?  Upscaling is done by the video engine of the graphics card as far as I know, but there are manual image tweaks available within the software player's menu.

Here's the script for using KMPlayer as your external player in XBMC

Quote
<playercorefactory>
 <players>
   <player name="KMPlayer" type="ExternalPlayer" audio="false" video="true">
     <filename>C:\Program Files\The KMPlayer\KMPlayer.exe</filename>
     <args>"{1}" /fullscreen /close</args>
     <hidexbmc>false</hidexbmc>
     <hideconsole>false</hideconsole>
     <warpcursor>none</warpcursor>
   </player>
 </players>
 <rules action="prepend">
   <rule filetypes="mkv|avi" player="KMPlayer"/>
 </rules>
</playercorefactory>

Save this as playercorefactory.xml and copy-paste at C:>>Program Files>>XBMC>>System

Using Boxee desktop software. Recommended for people with HTPC and has wide collection of videos.
So far enjoying it from my HP DV7 output to 1080p Samsung 40C530.

Default settings ok lang.  ;)

There are ways to minimize CPU resource while maximizing KMPlayer Full HD/HD viewing.
Check mo site sa KMP meron mga tips doon based on your preferences.

FYI. XBMC is already out with Dharma. It supports DXVA2 so no need for external player to support hardware acceleration.

Tried this one. It is ok to use it as long as your CPU can support the 1080p/720p high bit rate video. But if you have your CPU is not than powerful enough to support 1080p/720p, I would still suggest KMPlayer with special sauce. :D ;D

I installed the newest build of MPC-HC. The movie starts normally but when I go to certain parts of the movie using the slider, the movie goes into "fast forward" mode and doesn't run in its normal speed even if I stop, pause the movie. I think there's still a bug unless there is a fix to this. Anyone experienced this?
