Just finished setting up the Onkyo 5009 and without any external power amplifier.

Here's the new layout(sorry medyo crappy coz I forgot to adjust my phone cam's resolution)


The very first thing I noticed is actually not the SQ/audio performance but actually the video performance.
Compared with Denon "I think" Onkyo's video processing is better, the ISF presets gave better picture quality. It further improved the already very good PQ of the AE7000 8)

I haven't ran the Auto Calibration yet but out of the box the Onkyo is powerful enough to drive my Goldenear Speakers... For now I think I don't need external power amps ;)

Yan muna at hindi ko pa masyadong natotorture test eh...
Next test movie... UNDERWORLD AWAKENING >:D

aysus santisima garapon, kelangan magmano ng onkyo ko sa 5009 mo,

di mo na talaga kelangan ng external amp dyan baka wala ka nang marinig na difference.

Tumindig lahat ng buhok ko, ultimo sa ibaba nung tinesting ko yan.malakas kung malakas, malaki magvocal ung center at naging mas sensitive ung surrounds ko.
Akala ko ok na ung 3008, may mas iginanda pa sa 5009. :D

Halos wala ngang difference compared with nung meron pa kong XPA-5. Very minimal :)

Siyempre 4k na din yata ang resolution ng 5009 mas maganda talaga yan kesa 1080p. Pero sa akin di muna ako mag 4k.  >:D >:D >:D

Di na kaya ng budget sir, hehe.
Saka with the 5009 I think I will not be needing an external power amp. Kayang kaya nyang idrive yung 9 speakers ko and ifill yung room size...

Sis ang 4K resolution gagana lang sa 4K TV or PJ so hindi naman 4K yung PJ ko kaya 1080p pa din output nya... ;)
Maganda lang talaga video processing ng Onkyo. Yung ISF calib presets really helps :)

Btw I just finished running Audyssey calibration last night... ANd man ohhh man the improvement isn't just "night and day..." It's like winter and summer ;D >:D
