Parang mataas ang mga speakers. Ideally, the tweeters should be at ear level at the main listening position.

For the center, you can tilt it so that it points to the ears. But the sound will be even better if you put the center on a stand in front of the TV. Mounting it on a wall is normally not very good.

@audiojunkie:

Here is my gear list:

Pioneer VSX520
Pioneer DV-220KV
Jamo S-606 HCS3 Speaker System
Jamo Sub 250

next on my list:

ixtreamer (plan to buy one later)
PS3 (waiting for approval from commander in chief)

@streetsmart:

they are very high indeed.  The satellites on top of the floor stands are actually rear speakers.  I am still deciding best way to conceal the speaker wires towards the back.  Too late na on the center speakers I already drilled holes on the wall to mount them.  Sabay ko na lang siguro on the next itch to re-position the center and and conceal wires for the rears.

Appreciate the feedback.  Please keep them coming.

Welcome bro.  Yes, nice neat setup with lots of space of expansion :).

I almost got a Jamo 506 set ... almost.  I was able to audition a set at Anson's on my lunch break one day, and it was then that I discovered what I was missing out on.

One suggestion: better not block the ventilation holes at the top of the receiver ... you have lots of space anyway to spread the gear out.

@lncc63:  Actually sa Anson's ko nga siya nabili...  :)  Looks like I have a lot to learn kasi I was ok with what I have heard when I was auditioning it.  What I did notice was bitin without the subs kaya i purchased jamo 250.

I hope to learn more in this forum.  I suspect this to be a very expensive addiction kaya hinay hinay lang sa suggestions ha...   :)

congrats brader. pareho tayo ng reciever. at tama ni lncc63. keep the top of the reciever open dahil dyan lumalabas yung init. in fact when playing at high volumes it gets really hot. so kung may paparty ka man at kelangan mo itaas yung volume to extremely high levels you can use a laptop cooling pad sold at cdr king. that's what i use at malaking tulong. one thing i've learned in life, treat your gears right to get the best enjoyment  ;D

sir,
   neat and clean. in addition, mukhang hindi mo na mapapalitan ung pinaka-cabinet mo, so in addition, better na spread your gadgets to have ventilation. not only the receiver but also the digibox and dvd player. lahat makakahinga...Enjoy your gears..

CONRATS SIR ON AND WELCOME TO THE CLUB :) :) :)

sir, pashare lang po ng idea...what is the size of your room...if may extra space ka. pwedeng ilipat yung cabinet,(pwede sa bandang likod) then, buy ka ng a/v rack.you can check some photo's of pdvd members and you can be able to apply it to your room.it seems na malaki ang room mo,madami pwedeng option.

as for the center speakers, its not too late,u can put white putty for the holes and relocate it to a nice position
yung rear speakers would be better if you can place it at the back para pag nanunuod ka ng muvi,maapreciate mo ung surround.
if you're after the exposure of audio wires, gamit ka na lng sir ng plastic moulding which some pdvd's did (even me,i used them).

goodluck po and thanks for sharing your set up.

Ginagamit ko rin ito. Patong sa AVR. Baligtarin lang dapat para sipsip siya ng hangin from the AVR and out.

Don't get me wrong Bro.  The Jamo 506 is ok ... IIRC I think the set goes for 19k, right?  I did not go that route only because then I was not yet willing to spend that much, I'd not heard other speakers yet, and I'd not yet found PinoyDVD.

IMHO, you've got a good set of speakers there, and I will suggest you first try tuning your system so you get them to optimum.  Its not, I gather, 100% about the speakers, or even all of the equipment, a significant factor is how you place them, make your settings, and even the room itself.  Get them to optimum then look at improvements by upgrades and additions.

One reason having PinoyDVD is great is because it makes upgrading less painful.  After the hearing the Jamo 506 set, I ended up with an old Wharfedale set.  A few weeks later I was able to pass them on and head for Polks.

Okidoki have fun.

di ko na binabaligtad dahil pataas talaga yung ihip niya ng hangin. so better check kung yung cooling pad mo blows up or down. you wouldn't want your fan to blow hot air into your reciever  ;)

its better if you do not put stuff on top of the receiver. Stuff like dvd players and manuals; your covering up the cooling vents.
