Magulo siya ngayon, shopping for fronts na preowned, saw the B&W CM1 na preowned kina Marc ganda pang tumunog, kaya baka di pumasa ke misis , pero me noticeable creases on both tweeters, pero fixed no impact sa sound.

Technics SB-5 - Is this worth restoring?

T'was my dad's and on better days and on weekends I hear my dad blasting these with orchestra and at times trumpets along with it (who still plays trumpet these days?)

The casement lower portion is in poor shape (peeled) and needs replacing but coz its my dad's, I plan to restore/salvage.

Is this worth restoring?

Yesterday i placed a load from my dayton, and ok naman. working pa naman, and one of the speakers was fixed by speaker doctor's dad some months back.

May static pero only when turning the knobs for tweeter and mid, both speakers so i guess its stuck for a while.

anyone up for the challenge, need to replace the box, kahit natural lang coz i like staining and natural finish sana. Let me know your thoughts.

what tools do you have? the boxes are made of mdf (medium density fiberboard) or synthetic wood. I can guide you through...

naku, I seriously doubt I possess the skills to make cut that perfect circle to fit the speakers(let alone 3 varying circles

) but i can patiently seal, sand, stain and varnish though. Kaya looking for a low cost way to change the casement.

I read in some that marine plywood is good material for a speaker box.

if you have a router the circles can be easily cut and accurately at that... a jigsaw can cut that too, though not that accurately. plywood is a good material for it...

Thanks to trod93, he'll take a crack at reviving the Technics SB-5.
Will figure out where to use it later.

got some stands currently used for the bose Fronts but eventually it will go at the back when new fronts come in.

I saw that one, pero 40k eh, pag bumaba, let's see

pero may nakita ko na $2000 sa ebay na FS na Diamond, $300 lang shipping state to state so mukang ok sya but want to see it when i go up there.

Kelan ba exact alis mo? baka magpadamay ako sayo from US para mas mabilis dumating.. Kakainip pag pina ship eh..

I got Onkyo Floor Stander + Onkyo Active Subwoofer for a good deal!

Finally got YPAO mic to calibrate.

relocating the sub but my wires are too short, anyone can spare a cable?

now if only i can afford to get a custom 3 x 1" molave planks that can stretch and accommodate my gears.

I got this kanina umaga lang and since the left speaker cable is too short, I let the mountain(AVR) come to Moses (receiver)

buy na Lang ako bukas cable, pati subwoofer cable i also need a longer one.

plan to put it sa corner sa left, where should that subwoofer beast face and most ideal location?

Inspired ako to fab a metal stand with molave wood planks, 3 layer rack na end to end para malinis.

This way, mas mababa para sa PJ screen

b. relocate center to be closer sa TV

Brader ang bigat nung tatlong pro box mo nag curve na yung patungan.. Pwede kitang tulungan, may space pa sa bahay yung isa para mabawasan nang load yung lalagyan he he he
